One case in which I think the father would be entirely justified in abducting his daughter and absconding with her to Ecuador.

Suitably obscure, difficult to extradite, nice scenery, good barbecue.

Thats why I cant haz children.

Because if I had to listen to something like this a few times, I would not lose my shit.

I would collect my shit thoroughly and unleash a torrent of destruction.

And not the self immolating kind either…

Since scenes like this are repeated thousands of times a day throughout Western nations, it makes me wonder why so little shit gets blown up?

I mean, where is the fucking line that is not to be crossed?

My wife is in Healthcare, and this type of stuff happens all the time. Doctors jump to conclusions and write stuff into a chart and report the parents to CPS. I had a friend that was reported. They had to sue the doctor to have the statement in the chart removed. They sued for defamation, but the court ruled against that. Luckily CPS did not remove the children.

I have told my wife is CPS shows up at my door because I spank my children she will have to bail me out of jail. Over my dead body are they coming into my house without a warrant, and this is what CPS will do. They will bring the cops to your house and take the child based on one person saying you did something to the child. In court you will not have the opportunity to face your accuser either.

It got scuffed away by a stampede of bureaucrats rushing to justify their existence. Gotta protect that budget at ALL cost.

I didn’t watch the video, and reading the posts makes me so happy I didn’t.

I’m angry enough without it.

I think something like this is my greatest fear.

This scares me. I have an 11 month old son that constantly amazes me with both his complete lack of fear and his ability to get into, on to, and generally do things I wouldn’t guess that he can. The idea of taking him to a hospital because he broke something or otherwise got hurt through some misadventure is scary, not because he’s hurt, but because of a poison pen or misplaced “concern”.

Wow. What a load of horse shit. I can attest to some of this stuff. My Mom and Dad divorced starting when I was 3, it went on until I was 9. My Mom got custody of my brother and I when I was 5, full time. She, at this point, had not worked since college 15 years before. She was an active (2 DUI’s during 2 years) alcoholic from when I can remember until 2 years ago, I’m now 22. I didn’t see my Dad for several years at a time because my Mom wouldn’t let us… Meanwhile I was learning his trade on my own, so you can tell how big of an influence he was for me.

Kind of a fucked up/stupid situation. My mothers selfishness really fucked up my childhood and it was totally endorsed by the courts. The original reason she got full custody was because a CPS dumbshit wouldn’t allow my Dad to have any visitation because he was a gun owner. He promptly got rid of the guns, still was not allowed to see him. There are thousands of examples like that just from my early life. I can’t imagine what its like all over. Just a load of shit.

My friends younger son like to jump of off furniture.

The older one has the brains to place a pillow on the floor, the younger one… no.

So far, he has proven to be suprisingly resiliant.

As long as I don’t contract food poisoning and end up having to light up a tour bus restroom, I’m down.

I have become a master of the pillow placement, the one handed diving catch, and most importantly- the sixth “It’s too quiet, what is he up to?” sense.

That is how I discovered that he uses the dog as a step stool to get up on to the table. How he climbed the CD tower as high as he did is still a mystery.

I hope I don’t start a shit storm, but it genuinely scares me for my future seeing this and thinking of how Marx believed, “democracy is the road to socialism.”

It genuinely scares me. If a father’s say doesn’t have a weight on his daughter’s life, whether it’s good or bad, there is a Big problem.

Inasmuch as a lot of men choose not to become fathers, yes.

Future generations of men one could leech from are simply not born!

Bummer…

What if all the Boxers have been sent to the knacker?

Who will pull the plough?

Took my then Japanese girlfriend to Forbes once for a nasty and persistent nasal infection. Her first experience with an American hospital, and I wanted to be in the room with her and the doctor.

The nurse made it clear that I was suspected of abusing her since I wanted to be there.[/quote]

Because… you…could have done what exactly to…cause a nasal infection?
