Chickens

As strange as that stylish chicken coop was that Shugart posted, It’s not a bad idea to raise chickens if you have the room. A chicken will produce about an egg a day, and if you have the room to let them roam around a bit and get nutrition from bugs and insects, instead of just corn feed, their eggs will contain a better percentage of good fats.

Besides, they’re funny animals.

Just a random thought.

Yeah but don’t you need a rooster as well? I thought that a chicken would only lay eggs if there was a rooster around to show she was fertile in hopes of getting some lovin’ from the rooster. I could be wrong, I am no poultry expert or anything.

And it would be annoying to have that many birds running around the apartment.

Nope. No rooster needed. Laying does depend on the amount of light that they get each day though so you would need to supplement sunlight with artificial illumination during the winter months.

If you’re so inclined, you can also butcher them when production stops. Free range Henrietta is mmmm-mmmm-good.
