It’s the real, unadulterated quote. It’s from Beyond Good and Evil, Section 4 (Epigraphs).
I remember laughing over that a few years back. It’s hilarious Nietzcshe is such a (sometimes convincing) misogynist.
My guess is that if you’d been raised by his mother and sister, you’d have been a misogynist, too. Did you know that his sister is almost single-handedly responsible for his being associated with Naziism? She posthumously edited and republished his works to make him look like a fascist. His original works contain many jabs and insults aimed at anti-semites, and yet later on, the Nazis used his edited work to ‘prove’ that their greatest philosopher hated Jews. Sigh.
