Missed Squats on Tuesday…monday night walking down the hallway in my house I got through my ankle, I didn’t trip, roll it or stub my toe it just happened, next step I nearly collapsed I couldn’t put weight on it…been hobbling around since…So I wont DL either this week and hopefully when I get back from Fla I can get back to it, only 3 weeks of serious training before the meet…this is awful timing.

Weird about the ankle. Hope its 100% when you get back from Florida. Maybe you needed a couple days off for recovery.

Maybe it is just your body telling you that you need a few extra days off!?

Nice benching. And the reverse grip MP sounds painful as hell.
My left bicep tendon and wrist tweaked just from reading that.

BTW…after talking with you, I started alternating my grip on face pulls…one set with hands outside the rope, next with hands inside. They feels slightly different each way and seems to better blast my rear delts.

Late snow an ice is not fun. Apparently the wind finally found me after my move from OK. I thought the place was gonna blow away. No frozen stuff though.

As far as using the monolift, it’s great. I suggest getting to the meet a little early to get under the bar and try the monolift a couple times before lifting begins. If your federation people are cool they’ll understand. Since you don’t have to use energy to walk out the squat you can possibly be even stronger than with conventional racks. Get a feel before you begin and really concentrate on your set up so your confidence is high.
