Chewing Gum, does it make you hungry.

Maybe it’s just a coincidence, I dunno, but when you chew gum, does it trick your brain into thinking that your hungry or what. I noticed that when I chew gum, my stomach starts to growl and I feel hungry. Like today after I finished eating, I popped some gum in my mouth and started feeling hungry a few minutes later. Is this just me or what?

Not sure if there is any physiological effect going on or not. I know that the action of chewing will stimulate digestive enzymes in the stomach. I do not know however whether or not they are related to hunger in any way. Maybe you just have a big appetite.

i vaguely recall a psycholigical mechanism with chewing and an insulin response with the sugar/sweetners. anyone else who knows go for it
