6 months on TRT and experienced significant increase in body hair on forearms, back of arms and shoulders. Should I expect this to continue until I become a wookie or will it settle down?
My body hair increased to a point then stayed the same afterwards. But I’m definitely hairier than before TRT
Did you previously have some hair in your shoulders and back of arms?
I’ve noticed increased hair in places I already had hair. Maybe a bit expanded but in same general area.
It not suppose to matter but do you inject in shoulders? I read where ppl see increased hair where they inject. Nothing scientific but ppl comments. One on this board.
I have facial hair growth that picked up pace. I use to only shave 1 x a week. Now u need to shave 2-3x. And at 41 I finally grew in the middle part of my mustache. Lol
One area lacking hair growth I think is my pubes. Not sure. Will shave to see.
And I seem to need more frequent haircuts.
Also if excessive you may want to check your dht levels.
Interestingly, DHT is an important hormone for hair growth in other areas of the body, meaning the same hormone that’s responsible for causing male pattern baldness is also responsible for fueling the growth of hair on your chest, back and other areas.
I’ve seen the same as @oz_dude. Forearm hair is growing very long. Way more than usual. I’m knocking it down periodically. Back of the arms never had hair before but now I’m getting long dark hair on the back of my triceps at the top. Odd. Guess it comes with the territory
That’s funny. I just looked at my triceps inside side and I have sporadic hair, some long, that I didn’t have before. It’s like an extension of my arm put hair
For me, it was a big increase in chest/belly hair and my beard finally filled out completely. Other than that, leg and arm hair stayed the same. No increase in balding either.
I had very sparse blondish hairs all over with darker denser hair in the usual spots. I have grown some hair on tops of my thighs, and lats. All other hair has thickened up to probably x a factor of 2. My facial hair grows twice as fast, and is denser, and a haircut (short sides) used to last me two weeks now is grown out in 7-10 days.
You are simply getting to your genetic potential and lower T was holding that back.
No I had very little hair on upper body. Small amount on forearms only. Now I’m getting beastly. Shoulder, upper arms and area on back at base of my neck. I inject subq alternating between glute, belly and quad.
I can finally grow a beard! That I don’t mind but like others I know have back hair, upper arm hair, lots more chest hair etc.
