What is bullshit Professor? Presenting another side of an argument? Something that you don’t agree with.

How sad for you.

You’ll never understand the equation that leaders have to balance.

Perhaps one day you will. Today’s not that day.

Yes, you are just FULL of humility and lack of judgement.

we like to say “Al CapOOOOOWNED!” but it usually doesn’t work because at the same time we often look up at what we believe is a sunny sky only to find sudden globs of water blinding us.

we also like meth and tom leykis.

LOL it all makes sense now! But seriously, I thought that was just hilarious that a reporter would come to the conclusion that even first-hand accounts aren’t good enough for him, and that he would rather believe something that some UN anti-war dude would put out which was subsequently shown to be completely false. I read that last line in his op-ed, and just laughed my ass off. Oh really? You’d rather believe BS that reinforces your own opinions, and discard those that have the ring of truth in them? What a FUCKING NEWSFLASH!!!

Man, I love the MSM.

And another thing: a couple of y’all naysayers have come up with “if this thread didn’t criticize the MSM for being one-sided, I wouldn’t have had a problem with it…”

BULLSHIT. I call shenanigans so hard right now that the shenanigans are coming out of my nose. BULLSHIT!!!

Agree with me or not. But you fucktards were going to pipe up no matter what. A thread that features good news about Iraq… Come on, that’s like a naked Pamela Anderson bending over a countertop to you guys, there’s no way you’d keep a lid on it.

And then vroom says it’s because bad news sells more. Okay, I see that. But there is NOTHING, vroom. NOTHING. You would imagine that an editor somewhere besides in the UK or Australia would say “You know what? We’ve printed four hundred and thirty-five bad stories… maybe we should have one or two good ones…” But NOOOOoooOOOO!!! I will say to y’all what I PM’ed to Moriarty:

Finding good news from Iraq in the MSM is like going through TC’s porn stash looking for a particular picture of Jenna Jamison’s pussy. If our media guys were doing this fair and square, it wouldn’t be so tough. I mean, come on!

Here we have a profession that literally holds themselves above the dollar bill in their quest for truth. Mention the phrase “journalistic integrity” at any media social function, and you will be assailed on all sides about it. These guys pat themselves on the back for being above reproach and impartial. And yet, the proof is in the pudding. Do it. Try to help me find the positive stories. They are there… just not in the MSM. They are buried in weblogs, in foreign publications, in military sites… not in the MSM. And I think that’s a fucking shame. If you don’t think so, well, fine. We’re just different then.

Man did they put him down like a whipped dog.

I’m just now reading this. In what thread did they even reply to my posts directly? Last I checked, he left my last response unanswered.
check the back off week thread again, proffie…you got owned.
Badly. Directly.
You did try to argue against, but why would they want to waste their time?

What is wasting time about explaining why the amount of daily stress put on a muscle related to rest time? It was a very decent question and, for some strange reason, you seem to think that I am uneducated in training and just made comments in that thread for no reason. If I had listened to some of the advice that put forth on this forum as an absolute truth to everyone, I would be much smaller than I am now. That is not being owned, it is knowing what has worked for and trying to get others to understand that we are not all made the same.

I know how your mind works, though. You are one of those who cringes anytime someone writes that they agree with something I wrote. I am pretty sure “hater” is in that urban dictionary as well right next to “cheestastic”.

Yeah, I think your “fair and balanced” is showing. Why, in all it’s great and balanced glory, isn’t FOX giving you what you want?

It’s a liberal conspiracy right? Moron.

Not at all, profster!
I don’t know as I’ve ever willingly taken a back off week or rest week in my life. I’m not about to argue the point with EC and MR though.
I also don’t think you’re stupid regarding training, I’ve previously expressed my admiration of you for what you’ve accomplished–both in PM’s and here in open forum.
I just think it was funny that YOU seemed to think YOU knew more then THEY did.

Shouldn’t oughtta put words in people’s mouths, Professor Strawman!

He’s consistent.

What is the difference between reporting “good news” and disseminating propaganda?

Here is the definition of progaganda as stated by dictionary.com:

 1. The systematic propagation of a doctrine or cause or of information reflecting the views and interests of those advocating such a doctrine or cause.
 2. Material disseminated by the advocates or opponents of a doctrine or cause: wartime propaganda.
 3. Propaganda Roman Catholic Church. A division of the Roman Curia that has authority in the matter of preaching the gospel, of establishing the Church in non-Christian countries, and of administering Church missions in territories where there is no properly organized hierarchy.

What makes you think I don’t know more about how my body works than they do? What makes you think I am so uneducated and unexperienced that me pointing this out to them is an area I should not tread? While I am sure they are well educated, so am I. Having a discussion on the topic with a differing point of view is now against the rules? They never even responded to what I wrote about recovery so getting “owned” is not what happened. They avoided the topic completely once I explained my training. That points to something…but me getting owned isn’t it.

Joe, I am going to do my best to express my viewpoint on this matter cordially. If one of your allies on the boards would have posted what ProfX did oh, lets say for an example rainman or Jerffy you wouldn’t even bring it up or if so would probably have something good to say about it.

But, since it’s ProfX who you have a hard on for and who you scrutinize with a microscope any post he makes, in the hopes of pointing out some misstep or error he might make to the nation, you bring this up.

I could be wrong, but that’s the way I see it.

Again, pointless, what exactly is your function? The rest of us discuss topics, you come in and grenade joe and zeb and me whenever you hit that time of the month and then you dissapear again.

Maybe you think my ideas or style of discussion is retarded, I can’t help it it’s who I am. you don’t even debate, you are actually worse than vroom, at least vroom gives us some random shit thats close to the topic or tells us one out of a couple hundred different possibilities that he thinks is possible.

I can’t figure if I should ignore you or not… if I ignore, then you will feel like you are somehow supirior, not that you already don’t. I wish there were some way we could challenge eachother in a competition of the mind and i’ll show you just how retarded I am. I will think of a way to challenge you oh supirior one and if you back down, then I can claim victory by default.

V

Aw veg, you’re breaking your promise. Hey, start by using the spell check function and I will believe in your far out, groovy, expanded, cosmic, superior intelligence. Cool?

Certain people, perhaps yourself Veg, perhaps not, seem to hate anyone that doesn’t agree with them and continues to offer criticism in the face of onslaught.

I see people crowing over Prof being “owned”, and I’ve seen people crowing over me being “owned”. Never mind it generally isn’t the case, it’s just that someone actually took the time to put together a good and reasoned point that wasn’t self-contradictory.

Is it just me, or do some people around here build up some huge hatred and then go around looking for ways to get back at someone – or cheer on those that can?

In this case, bitching at Elk is kind of silly. Why aren’t you also bitching out some of the truly cheesetastic ra ra boys who do nothing except cheerlead the posts of others.

Elk has many times over expressed his opinion in various threads. Surely you recall all the diatribes going on about “if you aren’t willing to serve then shut the hell up”?

Anyway, calling someone worse than me? Now that’s just plain mean.

A couple of things I forgot to mention. Please ignore me if I bother you that much ignore me and I will afford you the same courtesy!

And about your line above “and I’ll show you just how retarded I am,” Please don’t, I don’t know if I could withstand an onslaught of that magnitude.

Elk, it’s just a difference of opinion.
I hope our friendship can survive it.

Sointainly Joe, Sointainly. Hey, on a side note me and my Pa both drew our muzzleloader Bull Elk tags this year! How’s that for some Jeremiah Johnson shit?

Elk - you are indeed bizarro rainjack.

Don’t confuse this with me agreeing with you - but that was funny.

Now that is cool.

Good luck way in advance.
