I can understand where you are coming from. There is a middle ground with ecstacy and coke, but only if you are one of the lucky ones (like me) who can (used to) totally abuse them but not miss them at all if they are gone.

I think that if you are a true addict, then the drug controls you and rehab is the only option. However if you are ‘just’ an impulsive user, then you need to find a higher purpose/goal in life and/or try to know your triggers and avoid them. Either isolate yourself from those circumstances where you are driven to use, or move to a new place, to make it harder to just pick up the phone and score whenever you feel like it.

But that’s my opinion as someone who can bing out but then leave it alone, with no problems. I guess I’m just wired that way that my physiology doesn’t change to create a need for drugs.

At least, that used to be me. I do not use or condone illegal drug use

Actually that’s what i did us Europeans must be wired different.

I just gave up all my mates who i knew for decades, my apartment with my friends and the city i grew up in.

I was also an “impulsive” user i could go weeks without it and then see someone do coke and 200-300 quid later be thinking wtf did i just do.

Best of luck with the treatment, it is all in your mindset ALL in your mindset… they can only offer you the step up, YOU have to choose to want to and commit to it.

If you go in there with the “I’ll be able to control it” then don’t bother what they said to one my mates was “Once an addict ALWAYS an addict” when you come out if you go near it your back to square one… so have a plan when you come out, DON’T fall back into the same lifestyle your just asking to be re-addicted.

Again i wish you the best of luck, and hope when you come out you will lead a happy and recreational drug free life

  1. “To be honest I have found most academic success while influenced by xtc.”

  2. “My goal, is to learn better control of drug use, not terminating it.”

  3. You also state that you actually support drug use

You sir need to quit or else you gonna end up fucking up badly. I think you’re just making up excuses. I’m an addict myself, won’t go into details, and I KNOW IT. I solved the problem by saying NO and avoid situations where I know I might end up again messing up. Do yourself a favor and quit that shit. For your own good man. Anyway, I wish you the best, you’re one of my favorite posters.

Hey man well I hope that you can get better and take it day by day good luck man. Life is hard but its even harder on drugs.

Good luck man.

This sucks dude.

I do not feel that drug use is a bad thing I actually support it. My deal is my heavy use and frequency. I hope to reconstruct my impulsive nature so I cab self medicate with better efficiency. … Right. I’ve no idea what to make of you. Are you an extremely dedicated troll (which is indicative of some serious mental issues)? Are you a pathological liar? Are you actually being honest?

Whatever your deal is, I hope you find real help, for your sake and the sake of anyone who cares about you.

Yep, never met a black emo/goth or “vampire” in my life LOL

Good luck, Rockula! They’re wicked dragons. Slay them & kick their asses daily!

I’m not sure why some people are bashing on Bushido’s advice. I was a very frequent user of ecstasy and coke as well, and came to a point in my life where I told myself that I wanted to stop (ruined a good relationship and was fucking up my schooling), so I did. Now, granted, not everyone can do that. I realize that. Some people, seemingly myself and Bushido included, aren’t as prone to all out addiction.

That being said, Rock DOES seem to have a bit of an addictive personality due to the fact that he isn’t willing to stop completely… Maybe rehab with the intention of straightening himself out is the better option. I’m just trying to say that many people underestimate the power of removing yourself from a certain group of people. I stopped hanging around the people that were always wanting to do drugs, and I suddenly found that I didn’t want to do them as much either, and within a few weeks I felt a lot better with life in general.

I think rehab is for people that really, no shit, could not control their urges. Rock, if that last sentence describes you, then you don’t need to be doing this shit, and you DO need to go to rehab!

Good luck man.

On a side note, you’d probably see much better fitness gains if you stopped this shit. Coke and X (specifically speed based) probably cause you to burn a lot of muscle. Think about it, you’re tweaked out and moving nonstop… that MUST be pretty catabolic. Maybe this can be some extra motivation.

To me, BBB’s advice is sound, IF Rock’s issue is what BBB thought it could be, but we don’t know. Only Rock can answer that.

The bottom line is that CR recognizes that he needs help and is trying to hopefully turn his life around. Period. He deserves our support, not our criticism. Nevermind the other arguments.

Any form of speed will eat up muscle mass like nothing else. Between killing your appetite and burning out your nervous system, this is the worst crap to take for anyone who wants to put on muscle. Trust me.

Come back clean, Count!
Best to you.

Don’t be a fuckstick and go into a program like that with the whole “I can use when I get done” because it’s not appropriate for the people who are really being isolated for a legit addiction to be around that type of personality.

I wish you the best, stay open minded. Don’t downplay anything and use this time to really root around and figure out why you’re using so much. If it’s not the chemical addiction then there’s a reason. Find it, and kill it.

Dead.

And start the new semester with the tools you need to make sure it stays dead.
