Chaos and Pain Blog(?) *Jamie Lewis*

You read that blog or his E-Book?

I read that whole damn blog from start to finish, changed my mindset on lifting/training/eating a bit.

I guzzled all of that Kool-Aid

I started reading it a few weeks ago. Once I got past some of the pictures, there is some really interesting stuff there. My favorite part is all the facts and profiles of old powerlifters/strongmen from the early 1900s. Awesome.

The blog is awesome and I recommend it to pretty much everyone looking for no BS training and nutrition info. Lots of great, unconventional wisdom throughout. And he is entertaining as hell.

Very good reading. i HAVE to watch Knuckle, that movie looks fucking amazing.

one of the best blogs ever

I found the blog 4 or 4 weeks ago and have read the entire thing thru. Tons of great info, and it’s given me a much more aggressive mindset when I get to the gym.

The guy might be a meathead, but he’s smart as fuck and gets his info across in an entertaining way.

And if you didn’t know, other lifting forums just blew up with the news that he did gay porn and he addressed it in his latest podcast.

This doesn’t change my thoughts about him one bit, and I hope he continues to write more great entries.

where’d my link go? anyways, check out the April 2012 blog section, one of them has one of the best photos ever… nekkid chick doing BB OH press, WOW

Really great blog, the author is an excellent writer and is hilarious as fuck.

Christ, I’d hate to see the other guy once he’d finished with him

Can I get a NSFW!

It’s pretty much my favourite ever blog. He reminds me of TC but an unchained, raw and damaged version. Still eschews lots of similar values surrounding manhood and the like. At the moment I’m working through the achives, shouldn’t take me too much longer to have read it all. Lot’s of gold in there.

Then onto starting Lift Run Bang… which has about 10x as many blog entries. Quite the time commitment but he’s awesome too.

Lift, Run, Bang has way more workout logs, so the number of entries is a bit different.

If you guys are looking to put your money to a good place, Jamie (Chaos and Pain) and Paul (Lift Run Bang) both have books out. They put the blogs out for free, so its a nice way to give them a little something for the time they put in.

One of the best ever blogs out there.

I love the way he doesn’t give a shit about what people think about his training methodology and him dissing Rippetoe and Starting Strength.

He’s raw, hardcore and fucking awesome. Obviously there’s some bullshit he preaches that I don’t agree with and his training methods may not work for everyone but the fact remains that he’s raw and hardcore. A mean, lean, motherfucking machine.

Can’t understand a word those Irish say. Thank god they have subtitles.

Lonnie: I’ll definitely be investing in both in the near future.

DN: Judging from the way both you and him post, it honestly surprises me you don’t know him personally. Seems like you’d get on just fine ha.

He’s clearly a member here, and has even stolen certain titles from articles here to name some of his own articles [apex predator diet for example]. Never heard of him before today, but he seems to say a lot strictly for shock value, like talking shit about Rippetoe despite having a similar training philosophy for intermediates. Didn’t think much of it, but he’s strong as hell and entertaining to some so he’s got that goin’ for him.

Yeah in his podcasts he goes over T-Nation a few times (the podcasts are hilarious by the way)… it seems towards the start of the blog he pegged it as one of the last places with hardcore legit training left and now he doesn’t like it so much. I have no doubt he still reads some articles since the dude seems to read EVERYTHING related to strength. He backtracked a littthle on the Rippletoe thing, pointing out that his aggro was based more towards most of the sort of people who run starting strength and never think for themselves etc., rather then the guy himself (Rippletoe seems cool IRL from everything I’ve seen).

I wouldn’t bother saying anything since he doesn’t need any sort of defence but I’ve just been reading it constantly over the past weeks so it’s fresh in my mind.

“This movie’s more fun than having a preacher’s daughter lick your asshole while playing Call of Duty and getting fellated by a toothless whore at a live GWAR show in Rio during Carnivale.”

That might be the best description of anything ive ever read.

I enjoy his blog as well, more of Lift Run Bang guy myself but his personality and I dont give a shit whose feelings I hurt is funny. He is also a stand up guy, he is a dude who has done some things in his past that many would really look down upon, he faced the music talked about it with his fans and counterparts and made no excuses and never attempted to cover anything up.

Edit:

From the recent podcosts it is clear that they (Lewis and Carter) are not fans of TNation any longer
