Plenty of ‘us’ have done considerably better jobs(we call them former presidents), plenty of governors, senators, mayors, heck, even former CEOs would do a better job. Anyone who has worked hard their whole lives, and ascended to the top through hard work and commitment would do a better job.
However, Bush, despite having worn many of these hats, never earned any of the positions he acquired. He was born into a rich and powerful family that gave him everything since day one. Think how much easier the job of president would be with less government. It should be a clue to the masses that our government is too big when we require hundreds of organizations within the federal executive branch to make our country “function”.
The job of president should only take 2 hours per day. The rest of the day should be spent drinking tea and penning one’s memoirs.
