True but most trainers will not want to divulge their whole “secrets”… they often will mention their general methodology which could be quite different than what they use with actors.
I have read that one. His supplement protocol was ridiculous but I enjoyed reading about his training.
I can guarantee that most actors will take that much (maybe not the same products) as well as drugs. Which is why I say that it is not applicable to “real people” and for that reason alone, not worth my time.
Yeah not feasible for most of us. We have to rely on Whole Foods and a multi most of the time. That’s a lot of dollars every month.
I don’t do anything stressful on my day ever, I do not have to worry about anything, a cook makes my optimal meals at the proper times, I have a massage therapist helping with recovery daily, I have other recovery modalities, I take “anti-aging products” (i.e. drugs), I use 500$ of supplements per month. Here is my program, do it.
Common man.
Because from what we can find, it “looks like” actors train like pretty much every “bro” in the gym. Why aren’t they getting the same results?
Haha ![]()
exactly. ‘I also have a studio paying for all of it’.
All well. The rest of us will have to just trudge along.
Right. Exactly.
That’s why, when I see transformations like upfitness gets. Or some of your before after posts, I’m encouraged that change is not limited to the wealthy
Dude, I love UP. Nick is awesome and they have tons of great trainers. BUT they pretty much only work with the wealthy. I’ve given seminars there, and when you see a Porshe in the parking lot it’s because the poor clients are in.
Are they on crazy supplements too? Their online training isn’t over the top expensive. I figured they approach that similar to you yeah?
Online coaching is not private coaching. I like doing it. But the problem I have with it is that we cannot control the intensity and discipline of the client. You can have the best program in the world, if the clients don’t train hard and don’t stick to the diet, there is nothing you can do.
The best transformation pictures with UP are always the “live” clients.
They are no big supplement guys. They use the basics to get you healthier, but nothing out of this world.
Wasn’t that before after guy you posted recently an online client? He looked great
Not saying I don’t see your point. Online coaching is more of a hope and pray situation
That’s another thing with the actors: they do every single session with a trainer. That alone will give better results because…
-
It ensures maximum effort
-
It allows for on the fly modification if the actor is not recovering or if he has a lot more in the tank
-
You can make exercise changes if one is not working properly
-
You can more easily correct technique
But point no.1 is the most important. If you train all-out on the most basic program you will have better results than someone who trains at 80% on the best program ever.
Right. And you probably find most people don’t know how to go/or don’t want to go intensely enough
Not most, at least not those who work with me because most of them are long time “fans” so they are passionate about training. But yeah when you get mostly average Joes you can have trouble making them work hard enough to get gains.
Yeah…leg day. If I could just hire a trainer for leg day.
Seriously I’ll hit you up when I can. I think just having accountability, even online, would help.
Especially for a 2a. It’d be too embarrassing to tell you I didn’t do what you said.
But thanks for the input here! Maybe I’ll stop reading so much about these actors because I’m not setting my mind up for realistic goals
