There is a time and place. If you’re constantly being put in danger by “other drivers”; then it’s glaringly obvious you’re playing paul walker at the wrong time and the wrong place.
The “it’s a 300hp car, i have to drive it fast” excuse only works if you’re 16.
This. Almost every supercar I’ve ever seen on the road is being driven at 60mph in the right hand lane because they know they’re gonna be on a cops radar (literally and figuratively).
Also, I live in California so I deal with a fair share of fucktard drivers, but other drivers aren’t the ones being pulled over.
The biggest thing I find annoying about your post is that you pretty much admit to driving fast “Don’t act like you don’t like driving fast, we all like driving fast” and then complain about being pulled over. If I ever get caught speeding and I was actually speeding, I’m not gonna bitch and moan about it. I think a 65mph speed limit is way low, but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s the legal limit.

This ^
I’ll usually pull right over, and get my shit ready when im caught. There is no point in running, or arguing whether or not you were speeding.
“you know why im pulling you over”
(try not to laugh and say “littering and…”) “well officier, im not going to incriminate myself, however i felt my speed was reasonable and prudent given the road conditions, time of day and traffic volume.”
^ might work for doing 80-85 in a ridiculously low 65mph limit zone. I havent been pulled over for speeding in a long time, but i also do my speeding in very specific low traffic/population areas.
I didn’t get pulled over for speeding that’s the whole point. Read what I said. I’ve been pulled over several times for a “random” breath test when I wasn’t doing anything wrong.

There’s a guy selling a black on black 2010 Porsche 911 997 Series II - 390 kW / 700 nm AWD, Dual Clutch, all the extras, just over 20,000kms. I am so fucking tempted. I must be out of my mind.

The 997 worked out of a lot of the problems of the 996 and got rid of the stupid headlights.
It’s a nice car, but I prefer my air-cooled 993 (see picture earlier in thread).

Yes I saw it. Great ride. Cars cost a heap more over here and it’s just so hard to justify spending that sort of money when you could invest it and have it working for you but as I said I’m tempted.
If I’m going to spend that amount of money on a car I really need to do my homework. I’ve read the water cooled Porsches can suffer from heat soak. But the 2014 does 0-60 in just over two and a half seconds and the launch control can be used over and over and over again without trouble. I’m going to have to test drive one of these. I’ve driven my friend’s 996 turbo and it’s fucking awesome. I want to try the PDK dual clutch on the 997 and the launch control. I’ll post my thoughts after a test drive.
My feelings on clutch-less transmission is that they’re cool, and usually faster, but still a novelty item for the street. I want my sports car to have 3 pedals, unless im on a track and money is at stake.
That said, the 993 is possibly my favorite car ever made. Arguably the most beautiful 911 made (which i do believe are beautiful pieces of engineering)

People are asking big money for 993s. Not too many for sale either.
993’s, E30 M3’s, and E28 M5/6’s are all appreciating assets today.
Yep, that’s what I figured from the secondhand prices. Over here they cost as much as a house so you have to be very rich or an idiot to buy one. Fortunately I’m an idiot.

Saw a black 993 S Turbo tonight. I put my card on the windshield with an offer.
Those S models are getting insane money.
I didn’t offer him a price obviously. I just said if he’s interested in selling call me. Besides, it’s an appreciating asset. And I like the idea of a real clutch and lack of driving aids as JB said. That’s what I like about the Lotus cars.
Mercedes apparently felt that BMW shouldn’t have the “ugly lifted sedan” segment all to itself with the X6 and 5 series Gran Turismo so they introduced the GLE Coupe also known as the AMC Eagle.
Everything old is new again. Singer Porsche 911. Air cooled, Cosworth reworked 964 flat 6. Extreme attention to detail, prohibitively expensive.
But, it’s really cool.
