BTW, the name “Carrot Top” and the “facial look” he has created are taken directly from the 1953 movie “Lili” with Leslie Caron. Lili is a naive little girl who become part of a carnival and is befriended by the puppeteer’s creations. One of them–who gives her plenty of advice and comradeship–is the red-haired, arch-eyebrowed Carrot Top.
When I first saw the flesh-and-blood performer, I thought “Whoa! How many people would recognize him as the puppet from 1953?”
And, just so you think I’m interested solely in doling out sterile information:
Threads like these are why I’d like to see everyone have a pic of himself posted somewhere. It would be interesting to see if the critical ones are in better shape…and to know how they got that way.
Perfect physique? No. But obviously the man has put in some time under the iron. AND he is a public figure who doesn’t hide the fact that he lifts. I wish there were more non-sports figures who were “silent spokesmen” for lifting.

Actually, Carrot Top used to work out at the downtown orlando YMCA alot in the evenings… He’s got a pretty big upper body for sure, and is alot bigger than when he was in the collect call commercials.
However, i do remember that his legs are pretty spindly because he runs alot as well. (Sometimes spot him running through winter park - as he lives in the neighborhood) Seems like a super nice guy, and comes onto the local radio alot when he isnt performing in vegas.
