I’ve been reading Cardillo’s book (Workout Wisdom, 2025). His approach to HIT is that each set should consist of positive reps to failure, followed by negative reps to failure, followed by static holds to failure. I don’t believe this is a beneficial way to train. To paraphrase Jones - that level of inroading would kill an adult male gorilla and IMO is just as bad as high volume training.
Thoughts? Opinions?
