Hi everyone,
Apologies if similar to other questions but I’ve not found a definitive answer on this.
I tend to carb cycle but I’m curious if I’m properly refuelled when it comes to a low carb day.
For example: I hit the gym hard yesterday, great workout and great day for nutrition… Took it adequate amounts of carbs pre and post workout… However today I’m feeling nice and sore but it’s my rest day so I’ll be aiming for a low carb day… I’m paranoid in thinking that maybe today should be a carb day too to aid my recovery… How do I know if all my eating yesterday was enough??

What exactly did yesterday’s workout and diet look like? Was it a high carb day?
What’s your weekly workout plan (bodyparts/volume/days)?
Semi-rhetorical question: Are carbs the primary nutrient responsible for muscle recovery?
No, they’re not. You’ll recover just fine as long as your total calories, protein, and fats are sufficient.
