Carb Free Beef Jerky

Just figured I’d share for you CBLers and ADers.

I stared with 26.66oz of cheap beef and ended with 12.20oz of soft awesome jerky.

Marinade

Marinade 2

Loading Dehydrator

Came out with 2 ~6oz bags like this…

I didn’t do any prep on the beef other than the 4 hour marinade. I basically dumped the cut up “roast meat” into the marinade. They came out like “jerky nuggets.”

Cheers,
JK

Looks freaking delicious! Gotta get me a dehydrator sooon!! Just figured out today that almost all my food has sodium nitrate in it including my cheese… Gonna change up and eat more like this BEEF JERKY!!

Looks great! I love that Montreal Seasoning. I use the chicken one for my weekly tray o’ breasts

I personally would like to thank you for this. My roommate and I are going in on a dehydrator and will be making a ton of jerky. Bear, deer and moose, can’t wait.

OMG! I just found a website with all grassfed MEAT! 10 kilos for 140 euro. Now to check if it’s any good and check the certificate:D

I did alot of research on the dehydrator I bought…

Here is the one I found: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FFVJ3C/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00

“Nesco FD-75PR 700-Watt Food Dehydrator” off of amazon

It cost 60 bucks

Cheers,
JK

Curious man…what cuts of beef would be considered good to use? Could I use a leaner cut like london broil (top round) or top sirloin etc?? Thanks for this.

Yes

And…to add…a dehydrator isn’t necessary. Jerky can be made in a conventional oven.

Just google it.

A dehydrator OWNS though:D

Nice! I used to make my own biltong when I worked in Tanzania from beef fillet ('cos it was about $7 per kilo out there). Btw, biltong > jerky
