Carb Back Loading

Carb Back Loading - bringing out the Betty Crocker in the strength training population, lol

I’m pretty boring with my backloads so far. “Dessert” wise has just been some cookies from Trader Joes… but this week I might try to get creative.

Yeah the reason behind my baking is because I like to. I have a major sweet tooth. It’s always nice to make exactly what you want. And there is the added benefit of knowing everything that goes into it. Keifer mentioned that fresh sweets are better than store bought. What other reason do you need to dust off your apron gabe?

9:00 wake up
11:00 3.2 mile walk
13:00 3egg omelet with 2oz cheese spinach, bean sprouts, green onion - 5g carbs
16:20 6.5oz chicken, 5oz lettuce, powdered cheese, 2tbs champagne mustard - 5g carbs
22:00 Omelet 3eggs, 4oz chicken, 4oz cheese - 7g carbs

TOTAL: 17g carbs

How do you feel mentally on your low carb days? Im interested in dropping my carbs down and upping my protein and fats to 30/5/65 like in the anabolic/high fat diets. I’ve read that its normal to be ‘suffering’ pretty hard on the second day when you are switching from glucose to ketos in your brain.

Just finished my prep and enjoyed my first pizza. Oh how I needed it.

Yaknow the only times I really felt the low energy was in the gym. It seemed like after the first or second exercise I was just drained. At this point it’s not an issue though since I’m having carbs every other day.

Don’t forget the sweets! Making your own stuff goes hand in hand with backloading. There is half a tray of lemon bars in my fridge that are going to be torn up tonight

Umm i dunno if this has been brought up before but 80$ for a book, seriously 80$!!

I was one of the few selected to get it for free. However, if I paid for it, I’d expect Kiefer to be around a little more on his forums to help out… but I think he’s been dealing with personal stuff, who knows.

Probably (hopefully) working on the software. Naomi has been a huge help though.
