It’s not really anything special. It’s what I can do in my backyard before I build my equipment. My arms and calves are what need the most work, so I work them the most. Although it’s a single exercise it’s also 90+ reps. Which is the same amount you’d do if you did a 3x10 for 3 different arm exercises. And did you happen to see my body composition analysis? I can pretty much backload anything I want at this point haha. Although I won’t be. Just saying
Thanks for the reply. I cant see any pics in this thread at work for some reason. I will try to remember to check them out at home.
So in essence it is a kind of spec workout?
Kind of. There is only so much you can do with just a set of dumbbells that go up to 75lbs. One of those things though is arms. Which also happen to be the area I need the most work on. Once I get my rack built I’ll be doing full lifts again. But until then I have to manage with what I have.
7:00 wake up
8:00 4 mile walk
9:00 coffee with cream, glass of water mixed with 1tsp apple cider vinegar
13:00 8oz water with 1tsp ACV, 3egg omelet, veggies, 1.5oz cheese - 5g carbs
17:00 2 mile walk with dogs.
Workout: Convict conditioning (just trying this out as a compliment to my regular weight training)
Pullups close grip 3x10, 2x5
Pullup hang (grip work), 4x1 minute
Prisoner Squats - 2x50
handstands 3x30 sec, 1x2 min
Question…Has anyone ever though about combining Meadows’ mountain dog diet (just the types of food, healthy, grass fed, totally organic) with the protocol of back loading? Think it would work?
When I am done school, I am moving somewhere that grassfed beef and organic things are accessible. For now my diet is mostly hunted deer and bear, also fish.
When ever i eat beef (3-4 days a week) or venison its grass fed. I also do most of my backloads with oats and rice and potatoes so i guess i am close. If i had more money i would do more grass fed free range animals but the beef and venison is all i can swing.

I don’t think Kiefer intends on the “pre meal times” to be dirty, so I think implementing Mountain Dog Diet style could easily be done. You just wouldn’t be able to do the fruit.

Just figured I’d let you know I have been backloading a couple of weeks and I have been following this thread closely, keep it going!
Thanks! In a bit of a rut right now because of a lack of gym membership, but I’m making due with some dumbbells and bodyweight stuff in my back yard.
