I know, I know, I should see a doctor and I am but, the car has a flat and it is raining so, I will be going first thing in the morning.
Earlier today my brother was rear ended at a stop sign. I was riding passenger, when it happened I stiff armed the glove box and now my right shoulder blade area hurts and it is hard to raise my arm and make a tight fist.
I doubt anybody will be able to give really helpful feedback here. It MAY be something fairly major, like a torn labrum or it MAY simply be a muscle strain. Try not to let your imagination run away with you, and stick to your plan of seeing the doctor.

If the person who rear ended your brother has car insurance they might pay for you to go to a doctor and get it checked out.[/quote]
Doctor first, lawyer second. If you are in a no-fault state, all of your medical bills are covered up to the liability limit of your brother’s coverage. With my 2011 accident I only had $50k in coverage. My new policy is up to $100k.
But do not put off seeing a doctor any longer. Good luck.

I’m just going off by what happened to me. I got rear ended by some dude a few years ago. His insurance contacted me the next day and asked if I had any injuries that I needed to go to the doctor for. I assume they were asking because they would have to cover it.

In NY, you have to file a no-fault injury claim with your insurance company and they notify the other insurance company, who was Progressive. Days after that, they sent their goon squad out to get me to sign waivers if I accepted a $500 check on the spot, and after that an offer of $1000 was made. That’s when I got a lawyer. Progressive called me at least 3X a day and would stop by the house 2X a day in person.
