Super Bowl party

The American Flag, The Shining, Darth Vader and beer all in one place.

Somebody has ADD.
Minus the flag and the Shining poster, that’s not too different from my Superbowl party. Except I got drunk and started twirling around my Darth Maul saber. I wasn’t paying attention to where I was and I ended up breaking a light fixture and a piece of flying glass from the fixture cut my shoulder. Sadly, nobody got a picture of this particular event.

… because sadly, no one else was actually there.

hahahah…good one.

I’m getting tired of this English actor bullshit.

I like Christian Bale and all, but these are American characters not Englishmen.

Even if Bale can pull off the American accent? It’s not his fault most Americans aren’t fit to play the Batman or any superhero.

Dude, you need to watch what you say. There are plenty of Americans who can play Batman.

Btw, his accent isn’t that legit, especially after hearing it for a while.

Like?

And Bale is a good actor. I thought he did Bruce Wayne/Batman justice.

Like me nikka. I could play batman.

Just an ordinary English actor really. The guy has like… 2 movies, both of them practically B category.

Christopher Reeves was a soap opra actor, Hugh Jackman was playing gay men in theatre. I’d almost prefer a no name actor, that way the director can mold them and they don’t come with an ass load of baggage

I can somewhat agree to that but there are times when an unknown just can’t do the role justice. Hayden Christiansen and Brandon Routh are the examples I think of.
WHAT!?! He was not bad at all as Supes? Shit, he even favored Christopher Reeve!!!

And it SUCKED!!!. They picked him because he kind of looked like Reeves if you squinted and didn’t have your contact lenses in. They then forgot that his delivery was about as bland as you can get and that he added nothing positive to that character himself.

Edward Norton “sort of” favored Bill Bixby in the new Hulk movie…but if he had left his performance at that, it would have sucked just like Superman. It was what he added on his own that sold that character…his OWN ability to act.

Superman sucked as far as story and as far as his overall look. Reeves never looked…oh, what’s the PC word…GAY. As much as that character has grown on tv, cartoons and movies, they went back to some juvenile take on Lex Luthor as if the last 30 years hadn’t happened.

That may fool someone who never paid attention to the character since 1981, but not those who have a clue about it today.
