You guys need to understand, the argument over who owns what in the film industry is pure semantics.
When there is so much money to be made, they will find a way to work shit out. So long as each company gets a cut, it’s all good. Look what happened with Disney and Star Wars (which started filming this month BTW).
I don’t understand your point?
Disney owns Star Wars, there is no two parties mutually working together to profit from Episode VII, only Disney because they bought Lucasfilm.
Fox was so pissed off that Quicksilver, a character tied to the X Men universe but owned both by themselves and DisneyMarvel, was to be in Avengers 2 they decided to cram him into Days of Future Past to introduce him first.
Well to be fair, and I can’t stand what they’ve done to Spiderman Wolverine, the Fantastic Four and X-Men, but Whedon did fire the first shot by using the Chitari who are the Ultimate Universe version of the Skrulls who Fox has rights to because of the FF

Don’t studios do crossovers semi-regularly? Maybe that was a preemptive strike to force their hand into getting a collaboration goin’.

I had heard a rumor Whedon wanted to set up a Kree Skrull War storyline for later and asked Fox for permission to use the name and they said no

I concur with everything good said about this movie. Never understand why people leave the theater early and miss all the bonus scenes.
Because they are not true believers.
Some interesting sequences after the credits. Not a big comic book fan so I wasn’t really sure who was in the first sequence.
SPOILERS
The monocle wearing the German guy is Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker. The metahumans in the cells are Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch: twin offspring of Magneto in the comics.
/SPOILERS

Wasn’t Quicksilver a good guy?
SPOILERS
Yes - Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are Avengers. Why they are in a HYDRA lab remains to be seen. They could be subject to the same brainwashing process as the Winter Soldier.
Edit: Loki’s staff with the mind gem is in the scene, so that may explain how they may intially be villains.
They won’t be called mutants or referred to as Magneto’s children: Fox holds the copyright on that. There is another iteration of Quicksilver, played by a different actor, in Days of Future Past.

I’m wondering since Strucker referred to them as “the twins” if in the movies they will be his mutant twins? Since Fox has the rights to Magneto they can’t be his kids; or they could be the Whizzer’s kids and they could flashback to Whiz in WWII
Both possible. They just can’t be called ‘mutants’ : Thor is the only MCU character so far who was born with powers, and he had to earn them back.

I’d rather Marvel didn’t offer a crossover deal with a rights holder. They don’t need it and it would be an unecessary extension on the rights for the other studio.
*** Funny thing about the story line. It is the true story of how the European Union came into being. Late in the war high level Nazis knew Hitler would destroy Germany. They started smuggling out men and funds to fight the war another way after they lost. It was they that formed the first of many economic treaties that culminated in the EU. The EU today is run by an anonymous and unelected board who gives their directives to the parliaments of the respective nations, whose only jobs now are to do what they are told.
I strongly suspect who ever came up with this “Hydra in secret” story line wanted to expose the Nazi foundation of the EU without coming right out and saying it.

They need look no further than the Rothschild family, they have been running shit for centuries.
On a side note about Star Wars, they are filming in Abu Dhabi to simulate Tatooine. Kinda refreshing to see this because there seems to be a shred of evidence that this will not be a movie entirely on a green screen. I am personally sick and tired of seeing pure CGI movies.
I am also glad that Abrams is shooting this in film rather than digital, much more authentic looking. He is also working with Lawrence Kasdan, the writer for Empire Strikes Back.

Bro, the prequels used real locations for Tatooine too and it didn’t stop the rest of the movie being a massive steaming pile of unrealistic CGI horseshit with yoda flipping out and ruining Empire Strikes Back!
Sorry, having Kasden work on the project is the best move they’ve done yet.

HYDRA’s power play was based on Operation Paperclip:

Back onto the Cap movie, nowhere near enough sexy material with Scarlett Johannson. She should not be allowed much clothing.
On that subject, I thought she looked amazing in this movie. I’m actually not a huge fan of hers(not that I don’t think she’s hot, just prefer other actresses when it comes to eye candy), but found her to be the great kind of distracting this go around.
As for the movie itself, I’m having trouble deciding if I think it’s my favorite Marvel flick so far or not. I really enjoyed IM1, probably a tossup between them in my opinion(I could see argument for a few of the others as well).
Just found out that the neighbor girl of his in the movie that ended up being a SHIELD agent is actually the WWII chicks grand daughter?!
Also the guy on the strike force team that was brought out of the building after the ship crash actually kills Cap in the comics, wonder what is going to happen in the movies with this. I doubt they will actually kill off Captain America but supposedly the guy is Captain America’s worst villain in the comics…
I loved the Captain America WInter Soldier movie. The only disappointment was Robert Redford, who I thought his character could be shown as more emotional or more intriguing as an evil dude leading Hydra. I didn’t know if it was Redfords acting or the character itself. Redford is a legend in the business so my expectations were high. My wife felt the same way.
