I have heard that regarding animal crop, insects have the best return-on-investment in regards to how much food they need to grow to adult size and how much food they themselves are.
Wonder how one would prepare insects, I’m thinking that grilling them lightly might be nice as a crisp snack. Now I just need to find some that aren’t loaded with the pesticides that they are now immune to but I’m not…
I saw that fat guy who eats all weird shit (Andrew Zimmern) go to Mexico and eat meal worms and crickets, they made nacho flavored ones and they looked pretty fucking good.
I know I started the thread (Partly in Jest) I dont think I can eat a fucking waterbug, Just thinking about it reminds me of my old apartment, these fuckers took up so much room they should of paid rent.
Bonez, how many grams in a cup depends on what is in the cup (sounds philosophical). A gram is a measurement of mass while a cup is a measure of volume. So it could vary pretty greatly depending on what it is.
But just for an estimate, we could compare this to granulated suger and say we GROUND UP some tasty grasshoppers and that would roughly be 200 grams to a cup.

They are in East Asia.
All these bugs are street vendor fare out there, and they’re apparently served crispy, salty, spicy, and not unlike the chips (that most tend to overeat) out here.
