Squats: 40 reps @ 160 (5-5-5-5-5-4-3-3-3-2)

Accessory:
Pull up and dip superset 3x5 @ BW,10,20kg

Lateral raise and face pull superset.

Notes:
Schedule back to normal (no more after midnight gym)
Gym membership runs out soon, I need to go checkout Elite.

OHP: 40 reps @ 60kg (10-8-8-5-5-4)

Accessory:
Pause Deadlift: 5 @ 180kg
Pullups: 2x10 @ BW

Facepulls

Notes:
First workout at Elite (I’m in love lol)
Everything moved suspiciously well today.
Press felt strong.
May have seen a familiar name on the leader board :wink:

Special dead lift note:
I pull with a rounded upper back (not lower), I set up like that and I continue the pull like that.
I’ve always focused on pulling my lats into my front pocket and to get down to the bar my shoulders roll slightly forward
Best description i can give is it looks kinda like Pete Rubish dead lifting.
Its either life long poor mobility or morphology.
I don’t really see a problem with it but I get self conscious about it when ever it gets brought up.

Been second guessing my form on everything lately, its not good.

This is pretty common and shouldn’t lead to injury. Why you being so self conscious?

Have a google/YouTube of it. Many consider it not only safe to round your upper back but that it is mechanically advantageous to do so. If it really bothers you it’ll take quite some time and effort to switch to flat back pulling.

I’m comfortable with it and I haven’t had any injuries from it (touch wood)

one of the gems of advice I’ve gotten was to squat down to reach the bar (with a flat back) even if I have to get on my toes …

I was pulling belt-less buttt…

Saturday special: Training with the old man
Missed Thursday workout (flew into Melbourne), got some dental work done Friday.
Location: Dohertys Dandenong

Pause squats: 4x2 @ 150,160,170,180Kg
Deadlift 6 @ 200Kg

Accessory:
Close grip pullups (30s rest) 3x10-8 @ BW

Log clean and press
Atlas stone lifts
Yoke walks
Tyre flips
Farmers walks

Notes:
Sleeps been pretty bad, think I got just under 6 hours last night.
Might re-introduce a belt to deadlifts seeing as I’ve been pulling heavier and more often recently .
Had a blast messing around with strong man equipment, no real idea how much anything weighed though.
@guineapig was going to check out Derrimut Gym but the closest one was in Pakenham (to far from me lol)

I’m going to put it down to clambering around on a roof at work all day.
