Congrats on it all mate.
If your rental market is anything like here in SA the you’ll have people paying extra to rent your place, it’s bloody crazy here.
I’m not sure about the rental market in Melbourne but house prices took a dive, so good time to buy.
The builders already living in it so with any luck he’ll just agree to stay there lol

30 seconds in the hole? That sounds bloody brutal!

So I managed to stack over a water meter Friday at work.
Rolled the left ankle, from the calf down it’s next level tight.
Held up throughout most of the testing until the last rep of 160kg, so dropped the weight and did some higher reps.

Notes:
So I haven’t been to the gym in 2 weeks.
Been pretty busy/stressed with organising the rental and I’m apparently the new plasterer at work.
Everything felt terrible Tuesday, like do I even know how to lift.
Today felt a bit better first two sets overhead felt off but the last set felt much more solid and RDLs all felt good.
After a little break it can feel like shit for a bit. Good to see you back at it though ![]()
Haha yeah I think things should be better next session though. ![]()
I squat more than you now
Whatever bro, fight me
It’s ok you both squat more than me !!
I eat more than you

New leader board.
70kg strict curl is pretty epic though.

3x5 @ 60kg
15 @ 50kg
Good mornings: 8 @ 60,80,100kg
Accessory:
Face pulls, cable curls and BW lunges.

A bad start to pressing 70kg felt rubbish, so did the first set of 60kg but the second and third set felt solid.

Strict curl leaderboard? Wtf?
There’s a story behind this. Here’s what I know
Robert Wilks aka fuckhead manages to get Powerlifting Australia kicked out of the IPF. Powerlifting Australia splits: new fed, I think called APU or UPA pops up, accredited by the IPF; Powerlifting Australia still exists, because Wilks owns it. Some people shift to the new fed, some don’t. Megan Hinchley is one of the ones who don’t, and she trains at Lime. She’s a decent lady. She also is beat to shit, which I suspect is because she stays very lean year round and hasn’t gone past maybe 55 kg. She’s strong for her size but over the years got beat up. No powerlifting for her for a while at the very least.
That’s as much as I know for sure.
The following is conjecture from what I’ve observed and heard. Megan I think talks to Wilks and says, hey, since we’re not in the IPF why not add the strict curl back into our meets like in days of yore? At least that way I can still kind of compete. Wilks goes, sure, why not? Enter the strict curl leaderboard.
Ah interesting. Thanks for the clarification.
It’s interesting to see Curls added, I’ve seen them do it on CT Fletcher’s iron wars too, just doesn’t seem to fit amongst massive pulls and squats etc
You’re not at the gym but you still have a better idea of what’s going on than I do lol
I thought stuff like that was related more to strong man, like they used to call it odd lifts or something (they just picked out what ever lifts they wanted for you to do ie. Could be the squat and strict curl)
