Can This Be Right?

Just weighed today - finished up a 2 week cyle of Mag-10 (6caps 2xday). I didnt’ think anything was amiss until I stepped on the scales. I gained 6 pounds.

I gained 6 pounds and my energy intake is around 1500Kcal/day.

I gained six pounds on Mag-10 while trying to cut. I know - I’m saying that alot. But that’s not all…

I used my accu-trac calipers to test my BF% and I went from 16% to 14.3%

What does that mean? I gained 6 pounds on the scale, but in just 2 weeks on a Mag-10 cycle I gained 9.63 pounds of LBM!!!

Can this be right?

At first I was ecstatic. I ran around the house giddy as a schoolgirl. But then I started to doubt the numbers.

Anyone else have these kind of results w/Mag-10?

Is there anyone out there who can tell me if this is a fluke?

Is this nutritionally possible?

I need answers - and I don’t really know who to ask… or if I’m even asking the right questions.

The scales say one thing, but common sense is throwing the bullshit flag.

Help me please!!!

Rain it is quite possible you gained some LBM on your cycle. How far below maint. cals were you eating.

You must also remeber that some of that weight is most likely water weight from the Mag 10. Give it a week or two.

Either way, even if it turns out that you come out weighing the same and you are leaner that sounds great to me.

Keep us informed.

Phill

I weighed 205, went up to 211. I don’t know exactly how far below maint. I am, but try to keep intake around 1500 calories/day. I figure at my weight, I am pretty well in a energy deficit.

Water retention makes sense, But prior to the Mag-10, I was losing around 2.5 - 3 lbs a week. To go the other way so fast, especially at my intake levels, baffles me.

I weaighed 205 before this weekend. I don’t know my exact deficit, but 1500 cal/day is pretty low.

I completely forgot about water retention, that would be a large part of the gain I saw.

Thanks Phill
