Yes they will be punished, unless they repent.
Judgement is God’s alone, I don’t want to tell anyone where they will go, because I don’t get to decide. I’d like to think though that someone who has tried to live a good life will receive a more appropriate reward than those who actively destroy others.
I don’t picture god as a hateful being, seeing as we have been commanded to love. I feel like disappointed would be a better term.
God must follow the rules of justice, while also practicing mercy due to the sacrifice of christ, so somewhat agree, wording makes it sound like God can do what ever he wants.
Again I don’t think anyone should be punished for the sins of any other person, so children are innocent until an age of accountability.
I’ve been told that those born with retardation, or a physical handicap are very strong spirits that can handle such a burden, but I’ve never read anything to support it other than “god giveth no commandment unto the children of man lest he shall prepare a way that they may complete it.”
I believe that between death and the final judgement our bodies stay here, our spirits go to a place a rest and we are ministered to by angels, giving all an opportunity to hear of the gospel and accept or reject.

They are conceived sinful and lost and IF they go to heaven it is because they have been truly and sovereignly saved the same as adults. In the absence of evidence to the contrary I personally believe that they go to heaven because it makes me feel good.
->I also don’t know about imbeciles, those conceived and born clearly impaired to the degree that we can’t be sure that their human conscience is intact. God however is sure as He is with everything else. There’s too much we aren’t told for me to hold a clear view here. The fact that I cant see their conscience operating says literally nothing of what God sees. Generally speaking? The same holds for imbeciles as does for infants and the unborn. If ANYBODY is in heaven, if is through the merits of Christ alone.
