Sorry about the quality of this drawing I did it on lined paper. It was back in May 2003 so I was 14 or 15 at the time. It’s now 2007 and I haven’t drew a thing since then.
By the way, Phill that’s some great artwork. You got an imagination.

Here is one I just finished a few weeks ago. It is an oil painting / mixed media work on paper. It’s on my site allready just thought I would throw it up here as it fits the T-Nation Context a bit more than the above sketch.
Some fantastic work in here, good job to everyone who’s posted. I have two of my own that I’d like to share. They’re hardly up to the standards of others on here, but I enjoy it and hope to, eventually, be good enough to sell some peices.
Additionally, I’m gonna post a link…not mine, but this guys work on Photoshop is absolutely brilliant, and I figured fellow artists would appreciate it.
Anyway, hope you guys like my drawings. Both done with lead pencils, this first one is a half-picture, half drawing of an oldtime ballplayer. It’s framed but about a decade old so it’s a little rough around the edges.
Second one is Larry Bird…I’m hoping to eventually have one of Bobby Orr and Ted Williams (I’m from Boston, can you tell?) to join him on the wall. Again, framed pic and this one had a bit of glare.
Whoah! I wish I had seen this post a lot earlier -lol
Great stuff guys. I’ve actually worked in animation since '95 (done series for Disney, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network…)and used to be a professor over at New York Institute of Technology (taught animation and advanced drawing classes). Don’t have much to toss up now, but it’s been a running joke wherever I’ve taught that I look like phys-ed teacher.

LOL I hear you going through grad school I think I was the only ever to bring as his only piece of furniture a Power rack. Also quite interesting in both settings at openings and events being a strongman competitor and artists. I guess people find it an odd mix Ha go figure
I look forward to seeing some of your works and great additions everyone else.

Cant wait to see those creations,
Phill
Nice…
Will this be offered in a print?
Solid[/quote]
I can honestly say no. The only prints I have are when I do original prints on a press and then they are also very limited runs of usually 5 or less or many times monoprints with the monoprints various test prints if any being destroyed.
Other then that all the oils, drawings, etc etc are the original works only, the one copy, if it sells then hey great if no then it has still served its purpose as the next step in my progress as an artist. Just a personal decision I made long ago to make my art as well art and not as product. Will I regret it in the long run monetarily possibly but its something I can live with.
Guys, the artwork is outstanding. I didn’t see a lot of writers contributing so I figured I would post a piece of flash fiction I wrote back in 2003 as an undergrad. Enjoy and comments are much welcome.
Room
Jon Valentine sits on the edge of the bed head in hands. What the hell??s going on here? He tries to piece together last night??s events, but thick black smog clouds his mind. He looks up and sees a strange room. He tries to stand; pins and needs shoot from his feet to his groin, sending him to the ground in a heap of pain. He tries to move his legs and the pin is so terrible he lets out a sound he can??t believe comes from his mouth. Panic sweeps over his body like an incoming tide.
He tries to relax. Calm down, Jonny boy. The feeling will come back. Give it some time. He sits up, presses his back against the wall and waits for the normal feeling to come back into his legs. After a few minutes it does come back and he slowly makes his way to his feet. The time pain doesn??t come from his legs, but his head. He feels as if maggots are writhing and burrowing deep into his brain, eating the soft gray matter as the go.
Each time he blinks, moves his eyes or thinks he can feel them writhing and wriggling and the pain is horrible. Oh, Jesus, it is horrible. He turns and sees a door. He staggers over to it. He reaches grasps the handle and? nothing. Locked?trapped. He tries again. He starts to feel flush. The veins bulge in his neck; his blood boils. He brings up a fist and starts banging on the door.
He screams at the door, ??Help me. Oh, Jesus won??t somebody please help me!?? He keeps beating on the door until his hands are purple and knuckles broken. He hangs his head and starts to cry. A light from the other room comes under the door. He steps back and watches with wide eyes the knob to the door turn. The door opens. Jesus wept.

NICE!!! Thanks for sharing I have the deepest respect for writers, just something I have never had a skill at. I mean I can get by write a research paper blaa blaa but not something like you shared something that goes beyond that starts to break down the rules and test the fundamentals of that art. I suppose it takes like visual arts a very very firm grasp of those fundamentals before you can start to really question them and use them.

Yhea its the camera thing, or lack of. At this point I can hope for a new camera with one hand and shit in the other and well Ill be washing my hand several times Im sure before the other one is filled, but in time. Its simply not in the deck right at this point.
I saw this thread a little late, ok alot late. here’s my form of art…it’s pretty plain looking compared to some of the other wood work I saw on previous pages.
My true love…photography. Haven’t really shot much in a while. Sure miss it though looking through some of my old stuff. Anything with people and their environment excites me.
this one is my favorite and won a few awards.
My favorite study was a collection I did on ice fishermen of the northeast. I donated the whole group to a museum and didn’t save any of the originals. bad, i know.
Most everything was shot in film either 35mm or a 2 and 1/4 Hassleblad.
I know digital has come a long way but I’m still fond of film. Kind of like comparing vinyl to CD’s I spose.
