After starting TRT I had the standard blood test on week 9 to check my levels. My blood was tested 4 days after injecting testosterone cypionate. My total T came back 986 ng/dl. Considering that exogenous testosterone cypionate has a half life of roughly 8 days, is there a way to determine what my peak total testosterone might have been when it was at its highest level two days after injecting? Is it possible my number might have been over 1200 ng/dl?
Your blood test was timed accurately. Measuring trough TT is more reliable than measuring peak levels, and it’s likely your TT was over 1200, but that number is quite irrelevant to be honest. You can ballpark your peak test levels, but again - irrelevant information.
