Im currently cutting from a 6 month bulk.
All is going well as im losing 1-2lbs a week. But, as I come closer to my goal im growing more concerned about the final 10lbs.
Butter?
My diet for my 2 post workout meals is primarily chicken breasts and mushrooms/asparagus.
Is it ok to still use about a tbs of butter at night? Or should I seriously use just water?

Im understanding that mushrooms dont offer much for nutrition but also arent bad for my diet as well, is this true?

I see nothing wrong with mushrooms. I also see nothing wrong with butter. In fact, I trust pure butter more than much of the synthetic crap on the market. Whether this will help you reach your personal goals is a matter all unto itself.
Are you over your caloric limit? Does your body handle dietary fats well when dieting? Many people use cooking sprays rather than add real butter to foods when dieting. The goal is to avoid the extra calories. If you have that covered and this isn’t excess, I don’t see a problem with it.
But then, there are food nazis for all dairy products.

Wow, i was unaware of the protein content in mushrooms.
My caloric intake is low enough not to toss the butter out at this point. Although I suspect i will need to get rid of it during the final weeks before summer to lose the last couple pounds.
My goal this year is to not only see my abs but to see the 2 primary veins in front of them

It depends on how your body reacts, but instead of ending up eating unenjoyable meals, you might be able to eat slightly smaller regular meals instead… though you may end up driven to the extreme based on your goal.
thanks for the feedback.
Im sticking to the butter for now since i dont want to burn out too early.
Cutting back on proportions now and in about 8 weeks will be cutting out the butter for the final few pounds.
I bulked for 8 months to a solid 270. Im down to 245 now and getting pretty vascular.
I think the target weight will be around 225 ripped. But ya never know.
