Well all in all I am pretty pleased with my workout. I did the MAG-10 pulse fast yesterday and was kind of suprised I was able to do so well on the dips. It never fails though I seem to do exceptionally well in my lifting the day after I pulse fast. Feel real good in the workouts right now, dont have many frogs that are bothering me or giving me grief & I am making steady improvements on my lifts every time. I love dipping, it is my favorite past time ![]()

Who cares about leg drive when pressing 115 lbs. I could push press with all my damn might and I won’t be able to get that weight over head.

To be honest I am real glad that I got the one rep with out leg drive, but I figure the other reps with the leg drive will only help me get stronger, I just want to be clear about the reps and what I am doing. That is the only way to see progress, even if it is only small progress.
Oh definetely, like when you do them next time, you only use leg drive on 1 of the 3 reps.
It’s great to keep note of that, even I document the ease or struggle with the reps I do.
Then I do a victory dance for even the “small” feats ![]()

dejavued-- thanks a bunch, you know in march I HATED presses. I then decided that I could not keep going into the workout every time hating what I was doing. SO i did the mind trick stuff, started going into every pressing workout chanting “i love Pressing, I love pressing, I am good at it”. Took about 2 months but it finally sank in…
main-- Yes you are correct the first rep was without any leg drive, I did the other reps cause I figure even with leg drive it is bound to make me stronger - right/?? Um I love dipping, I love the feeling of your chest muscle tearing when you are in the btm position of the dip— twisted & sick I know…but what can ya do.
Print-- Thanks. We could maybe go for a prowler session or sprint session, I dont drink alcohol (i am one of those folks that have the unique formula, alcohol+me= a**hole). Got to find a alternative for a beer anyhow!
Holy crap at your weights. I think I’m doing around 77lbs for 3 (no leg drive), which is nowhere near yours.
I love dipping but my shoulder doesn’t, unfortunately.
Like others have said, your overhead pressing power is impressive. I’m totally going to try your jedi mind trick too, “I love pressing. I love pressing. Superman has nothing on me.”
