you make me feel so lazy n8tive. lol. And those front squats are pretty darn awesome.

I am a fs lover too! Last summer I did fs EXCLUSIVELY to break some bad squat technique habits that I had acquired. Doing fs helped my squat form tremendously.

Front squats are my fave too. :slight_smile:

and lol at the elasticizing the cow balls. I didnt realize thats the way it still went. Do they just fall off after? Do ya find em on the ground??

Coyote— yea they just fall off and I dont really ever find em. They just shrivel up and blow away I think.

okay so I am still training my son was in the hospital and I just got him home. Trying to play catch up on all my work. I went to the gym a couple times while he was recovering from asthma stuff. Will fill ya all in on the details later on.

Sorry to hear about your son, I hope the details you have to fill us in on are positive.

Well he had a full blown asthma attack on Monday evening, I did all that I could do for him at home (which is a lot) and still could not get his Oxygen levels to the appropriate place - so we took him to the hospital. We live 45 minutes from the nearest hospital so we tend to be a bit more cautious than normal and a bit more preparded too. They did some blood work & x-rays and admitted him right away & dosed him up with Steroids for 2 days to knock the inflammation out of there. Ugh what misery though.
He is all better (mostly) and finishing his recovery on the couch :slight_smile: Yipee!

Asthma is the pits! But i’m glad your son is better and you’re managing it well. Good job staying cool under pressure.

In and done, felt very distracted though. I am creeping up on the deadlifts, slowly almost painfully slow but progress is being made - so I am not going to moan and bitch to much. You know I am a typical human, I want results NOW or better yet how about YESTERDAY please. I probably could have pulled 255lbs but I decided for the 260 instead and failed that - ugh. so resumed back to my originally planned workout and stopped being distracted by that nonsense.
Walking lunges are coming right along, they are getting better for me to do and easier (mentally). Yipee for jedi mind tricks! Needless to say the deads are going to leave me feeling…well dead :wink: I can feel the muscles and the soreness setting in right this instant. I am going to be sorry tomorrow!

Glad your little lad is OK - what with him and the calves you are dealing with the kind of stress that would knock most people for six, yet you seem to take everything in your stride. I swear you must be the toughest woman on here, and there are some very tough women among us.

Wow. Nice work on those DL. I know exactly what you mean about trying on the 260 and failing when you could’ve gotten 255. Sometimes you just are in the groove and keep reaching higher and higher and then… not gonna happen. But keep reaching for the stars because trying and failing is what helps us to assess the present and keeps us moving towards our goals.

Veg~ I always tend to think go big or go home. WHat if I did the 255lb and then that caused me not to be able to do the 260, blah blah… So in turn I ended up with this. Oh well~ btw I am pretty ravished by this workout yesterday. Deads have such a total body depleting effect on me, holy hannah it just leaves me feeling so HUMAN sometimes.
