1/25 Tuesday

pullup program

+10lb 4 x 2 with 3 negs after each set

BB row
+65lbs x 12
+85lbs x 12
+105lbs x 12

DB Row
+55lbs x 12
+60lbs x 12
+65lbs x 12

45 minute walk = 5 miles (last 15 minutes with the vest)

50 burpees (still need 150 by friday)

My legs are pretty stipped today - holy effer, they were jello. Once I got moving on the walk I was good & by 10 minutes I was good to go. The burpees it took about 15 before I was very fluid with em, I should have done more. Busy freakin’ day for me I was non-stop all day - should have got up earlier.
Tidbit for day: there are 2 sites of oxygen & carbondioxide which occurs at alveoler/capillaries & capillery/cellular.
The ability of alveoi to expand when air is drawn in during inhalation is called compliance.

1/26 Wednesday

bike trainer 10 minutes
mobility stuff (shoulders & lats)
Club swinging 10lbers

5/3/1 Mil Press
warmup sets
bar x 5
55lbs x 5
65lbs x 5

worksets
105lbs x 3
110lbs x 3
115lbs x 5 (first 3 reps were strict, the last 2 had leg drive)

10lb Dips 5 x 10

85lbs seated press 5 x 8

USA Outward rotation 3 x 10

The presses were really strong today, felt good. I took some video of the presses I will put them up later on today. Dips were tough to get 10 reps by the 4th & 5th set, but another week I should be able to add 2.5-5lbs to it… i would assume that with my dip belt since it is chain that it is probably more like 13lbs all together rather than just 10lbs & maybe if I count all my clothes it would be 15lbs total  Just fooling with ya! Need to walk later on today and do some burpees… fun for me!

woo hoo!! and rockin’ the griz beanie. nice freakin pressing.

have you ever tried pressing thumbless? well with your thumb on the same side as your fingers i mean?

Nice full ROM reps. Legit upper body strength fo sho!

Deja obviously doesn’t like you since she’s trying to get you to try a suicide grip.haha

gotta live on the edge, bobbi! lol naw mostly just wondered if she’d ever tried it. my mp is quite a bit stronger thumbless. i think mostly due to it just being more comfortable for myself.

STrong work!!

what kind of bench is that?

I ask because I may be getting one and it’s nice to know that I could possibly MP at home if I wanted. And Maybe Squat? It would be a long way to walk it out though…

Strong, strong pressing. I may never get a 115 lb. MP in my lifetime, but you are inspiring to watch!

yeah strong pressing. i keep forgetting how cold it must be over the other side of the world.

Deja— I have never tried to press thumbless, nope. My griz beanie is getting some hard use this winter, it ain’t no 70degrees up in MT.

Bobbi— thanks, Btw I think Deja is trying to get me to break something, but dont tell her I said that!

MiM-- it is a golds gym set up, I think it was 300 bucks or something. Then shelled out some cash for the oly weights. It fits my needs for now, but it would be real sweet to have a power rack to work with - oh well someday when I get some real money maybe.

kimba— 115lbs would probably be a bw press for you? thanks for stopping in.

Alexus— well it has been a bit “warmer” than normal, lows of 10 degrees and poppin up to the 30-40’s during the day. At about 2 in the afternoon it ain’t to bad out really, but it sure ain’t no 70 degrees out. Thanks

1/26 P.M Workout

45 minutes 40lbs vest walking (not sure on the mileage)
15 minutes no vest hiking

I almost hate posting these walks, but they still are a bit of a chore for me so it helps keep me accountable and on my list of things to get done during the day. Even if it is only a small amt of time I need to do it 5-6 days a week. I am thinking 5 day of vest walking, one day for a run & then one day off. So yea sorry to bore the log with this walking nonsense but it is helping me lean up and keep “cardio” fit to a better degree.

1/27/11

BW Pullups 4 x 4

150 burpees from 5:30 a.m - 6:15a.m

it was way to early for me to start busting out a 150 burpees in a row, @ least that is what my body said. So I did my morning stuff and would bust out 10-15 burpees here & there til I reached my 150.

I still want a vest!

But maybe a back pack with some weights in there would work until then…remind me again…do you have kiddos? Does your hubby help you out so you can go out walking? I miss that…soon though!

I have 2 boys, one is in school and one still at home. My dad & uncle live close by so they take the younger (he is 5) one once in a while. Both my kids are relatively easy to take care of so it makes it nice too, they come and workout with me once in a while too…

Some of my walks I incorporate into my work, so instead of taking the 4 wheeler or truck I will walk. I love my vest and have used the crap out of it, part of the reason I spent the dollars on one is cause I knew I would use it more if I invested my cash into it. I did the backpack thing for a long time though and it works, can get a little ackward though.

1 minute of hollow rocking

Ugh dead dog tired. Have basketball tonight too - not expecting to do a lot there but yea I got to go open the gym.

The deer chili looked tasty. Very impressive lifts and doing 150 burpees in one session is hard core. The home gym set up is pretty cool.

hollow rocking?

every time i read about your walks i think about how i need to be doing some endurance / cardio work and quitting smoking - so you don’t have to apologize for posting about them! or not to me, anyway. 150 burpees… omg.
