Bush's Best Speech Ever?

Err… so now Iran is one big nation of terrorists, huh?

Or did Obama say he’d like to have sit down talks with Osama Bin Laden? I missed that, I guess.

Bush was talking about Carter’s negotiations with Hamas but I found it very interesting that Obama assumed Bush was talking about him.

Either Obama thinks of himself as an appeaser or Obama thinks the world revolves around him.
He didn’t assume. That morning folks at the whitehouse were telling CNN the remarks were pointed at Obama. Later Ed Gillespie did some clean up when they lost this issue with the media and said it was Carter.

So it’s most likely that Obama thinks Bush is just doing political hack work, since Gates and Rice (and majority of Americans) are for the same type of negotiations.

Carter isn’t in the Senate anymore, now is he?
Carter was a governor in Georgia and a US president.

No shit, Sherlock. In case you didn’t know, he also served two terms in the Senate.

Bush’s comment was about something a Senator did while in the public office. That’s why I personally think it was directed at Obama. And if you ask me, it did the man more good than harm. Now, whether that’s what he meant or not, we’ll never know. But it sure looks that way to me.

Soooo, What exactly did Obama do while in public office?

Was he the one who said:

"As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared, ‘Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided,’ "

No.

He merely said he would open dialogue with Iran. He didn’t DO anything.

That’s why Obama was wrong when he assumed Bush was talking about him.
