So I was watching the news 1-2 days ago and there was a report that Bush went to canada and signed a deal that made Canada,Mexico, and the United States all one country called the “North American Union”.He did this so there would be no more “borders” for people to cross…which also means no more deportation.Don’t get me wrong,I don’t care if they come,just do the shit legally.But now that doesnt even matter.

I can see Bush doing something like this, but I haven’t heard this in the news.

The concept of a North American Union, without the histrionics quoted, has been around for a while.
I know when I was living and working in the US, there was talk of eventually opening up the border between US and Canada – with respect to employement anyway.
Before 9/11 it would have been a fairly nice statement about the level of similarity between our countries and cultures. It also would have given young people enhanced opportunities to travel and work.
I don’t really know if there is much chance of it going forward at all in the terrorism climate we have today.
