Any system based on an irrational morality, like altruism, can’t work — unless the goal is destruction.

What is the basis for a better system, other than altruism? Do you have a proposed superior model as a solution in the works? Or is it all just food for argument, philosophical discourse, and nothing else…[/quote]

I see you really know your American history .

What do you think were the founding principles of the United States? Well, you obviously don’t know so its up to me to educate you.

This country was founded on the basic principle: LEAVE EACH OTHER ALONE! As corollary principles, you have an unalienable right to your life, your property, and to pursue what YOU consider happiness. Anyone violating those rights was a criminal.

ALL RELATIONS BETWEEN HUMAN BEINGS MUST BE VOLUNTARY ON ALL SIDES. The supreme accomplishment of the Founding Fathers was to codify these philosophical principles as a deductive system.

Now, in light of all this, explain to me how a woman in New Orleans LA has a ‘right’ to demand that my government extort money from me and all other taxpayers (victims) to rebuild her home and neighborhood. And please don’t come back with tripe about how we voted for this or that…my rights are not subject to anyone’s votes…they are unalienable.
