Yeah, I had to watch the third bench over. And over. And then I made my family watch it. Really awesome job. And you choreographed the video to my all-time favorite Disturbed song.
Great freaking work! Congrats and loved the after bench celebration.

Very, very impressive! Nicely done.
Great to see such enthusiasm Bulldog. Awesome work on the PRs, especially the 400+ bench -that was a money effort!

Fucking exceptional. You looked so calm and professional… until you scored your 3rd bench and then we got to see the REAL you. That was some extremely cool lifting, and I’m humbled.
Did you realize you have no ass?
LoL, yeah I sorta lost it after the 3 rd . Buy the way I do have a ass!!!Its just slightly under developed for some reason compared to the rest of me. Ive got the ass of a 200 lbs guy.

Thanks Snap…In all honesty im humbled that you would show your family members my bench attempt. Makes me want to get right back into the garage and start busting my ass again.

I definitely needed a few Meet PR’s. It was really bothering me that id been in a rut for so long. Nothing worse then being able to hit numbers in the gym and not seeing them carry over to a actual Meet situation. Actually ,it was driving me nuts to the point I wanted to drive my head into a wall.

That’s OK, I’m sure you were all busy celebrating. Umm . . . I assume the missus is pleased by how you did?

Well ,I can say im actually happy for a change.
OK , as I stated before I went into this Meet with the mentality of not putting too much pressure on myself. Basically I just set out to just get over the hump Ive been dealing with for over two years. I hit all three numbers I had set for myself going in.
I’m not going to comment to much on the actual lifts since Ive already posted the video.
The only thing I wish was that I had not pulled my lower left Lat on my last bench attempt. That pretty much put a whammy on pulling anything heavy on deads. As Ive stated going in I didnt have really any faith on them .
Needless to say im taking it easy this week. Ill start back up next week.

LOL…Yeah , she was glad that I actually had a productive Meet.
nice work, don’t understand all the walking before you squat, seems antiquated:)

Thanks…Yep there’s nothing like having to walk back a half mile before squatting.
Good work Bulldog.
Check out my log on some periodization for the assistance lifts.
Also what was your weight for the meet–I know it said what class and all just curious.
Great benching!!!

It’s cardio. And it builds character.
I had to watch your video AGAIN. I like it that much.
thats a hell of a toal dog, damn fine lifting.
Dont know much about meets, but i always enjoy watcing everyones clips.

-thanks man

Ill give it a look .

I came in at 263…I was definitely the bloated pig. I wouldn’t have been surprised if a group of boys carrying spears didnt run threw screaming KILL THE PIG!!! That’s the last time I go that heavy again without it being solid. In retrospect all it did was drop my coefficient and didnt really add to my numbers. Next Meet ill be back in the 242’s.

Thanks again. Now its time for me to bring up the deads and squats to a level equaled to my current bench level if you know what I mean.

I’m starting to think I have plenty of character …don’t need no more ![]()
On the first two squats did you notice the pretty lady to the left and behind me whom quickly stepped out of frame?
JoeGood wrote:

Thanks Joe, All things considered im happy with it . Just wish I got the last squat I know I had it in me ,but I lost focus and that was all she wrote. Along with wishing I hadn’t pulled my left Lat. Pretty sure I would have easily got the last pull if it had not been for that.

Thanks. Yeah ,I was pretty much jacked at that point because I knew I was right on track of achieving the last of the three goals I had set for myself for the Meet.

10/25/11
Bullpup
Squat: 3 x 10 x 95
deadlift; 120 x 5/ 135 x 5 / 155 x 5
DB press: 20 x 10 / 20 x 20/ 20 x 25
All right BP back in the garage. He wouldn’t leave me the hell alone until we got started.
On another note. My wife got a text from the varsity High school wrestling coach yesterday asking if BP was going to start practicing with the High school squad next Monday. Apparently the coach had approached BP last week about it. BP told me yesterday before I knew the coach had text my wife. Seems as if the coach wants to get a early start grooming a incoming Freshman. I guess we have to sign a consent form to allow Pup as a 8th grader to practice with the older boys. I guess this will be one heck of a way for BP to get some quality practices under his belt to help him achieve his goal of a undefeated season this year in Jr.High wrestling.
Congrats on the competition.
That was a great effort on the Bench, very impressive.
Hell, all three lifts were impressive as far as I’m concerned!
Top marks…
I am late as hell… Great job! Looked strong. And uber great job staying after that BP. Awesome work and congrats!

Thanks, the bench was decent the other two need a hell of allot more work.

Better late then never I always say…But for the record I was starting to think my MPress brother had abandoned me (sob).
Ill be honest Strict I pretty much made up my mind on that last bench attempt to get it come Hell or high water. I was going to finally get that damn thing up in a Meet setting if it killed me.
