Bulking cycle advice

Great physique, man! I’m 67 inches (170 cm) and 185 pounds (84 kg), 32 inch (81 cm) waist (actually around the umbilicus). My arms are the same measurement and you look 10x more jacked .

I’m a former competitive Olympic lifter and powerlifter so I run bigger in the back, chest, and shoulders. I train only TWO all out sets a week for chest otherwise my pecs blow up. Wanna trade genetics?:laughing: All the fun aside, outstanding work.

Don’t you ever say that…. Blasphemy.

Thank you haha! Yes please let me trade a piece of my arm off for a piece of your chest.

Appreciate all your compliments guys, it motivates me to keep the hard work and discipline.

Hi guys,

Short update even not much too say since last time. I’m in my 5th week in this cycle, feeling great, still no side effects from test/mast. My hair is still there so I’m also happy with that considering all I could hear about mast. In any case, no one’s bald in my family so I guess hairloss will never really be an issue for me. I have avne on my shoulder and upper back though but it started after the very first cycle last year around December. I have seen worse, it’s under control I’d like to get completely rid of it.

Let’s see if next time my dermatologist can give me isotretinoin for the first time.

It won’t be visible on the below picture I’m attaching just for the sake of posting my current look (the one showing the back I removed the spots… Lol)

Actually I feel bad about acne , like putting on tanktops always makes me think about other people around judging. But it is what it is and I fully take it on. I have always been prone to acne and knew taking steroids wouldn’t help.

I agree with this. I am 4" taller than OP, but I feel I’d have to weigh at least 220 lbs and lean to have an upper body that looked like that. It baffles me that he is roughly 170 lbs, but I wouldn’t think one would lie to say they weighed less haha.

Same. Spent the last 9 or so months doing lots of arm volume. Some in a bulk, kept arm volume high during the cut, and I feel I’ve basically made no progress. Maybe a 1/4" up from the last time I was this weight.

Indeed, people at the gym are always surprised when they ask for my weight.

I’ll weigh myself tonight and share a picture. Obviously there’s no point lying about our own weight haha.

There we go, in lbs as it seems like the common measure over here :stuck_out_tongue:

Your, what I will call a “twisting three-quarter back lat spread” has a nice thick look.

Thanks mate .

I’d like to make it wider though.

Wider is good, but thicker is more impressive.

Wide lats and little thickness just looks weak. Take up swimming.

BTW, if you had to choose one body part to be your weakest, the best choice is pecs, IMO.

Damn… I’m 178 to 180 at 5 08. Being as muscular and lean as you are definitely “adds” size. Keep it up

Thanks for your comment.

Yes on the upper part definitely my chest is the weakest. I’m working hard to make it grow.

Currently it is uneven + genetically I have this damn middle hole + my left pec which is bigger than the right one also has a slight hollow in the middle part.

Honestly progress is very slow.

Lately I improved my mind muscle connection for the right side but still I probably haven’t found the best way to train them yet.

Any advice is welcome .

  • Can you describe exactly where you see the hole?
  • Is it symmetrical from one pec to the other? In other words, does your left pec look like your right pec?
  • When did you begin noticing this “flaw”?

I mean right in the middle of my chest there is no muscle tissue. I can feel my bone in the middle part.

Yes both pecs are similar except the left one is bigger than the right one but that’s probably due to wrong training technique during my first years at the gym. Mind muscle connection on the left pec is way better than the other.

For the latter, I’m definitely working to catch up with the difference and I can improve over time for sure.

Regarding the gap, there is nothing I can do. I would assume that if the inner part of each pec becomes bigger then the gap will become less significant but I don’t have much hope there.

If you are talking about 1/3 to 2/5 down from the top of the pecs, your pictures show that void. Have you ever seen a bodybuilder that shows a distinct separation between their upper pec and lower pec? It really looks impressive. I had a slight void in that location as you show, but little more than a slight hint of separation between upper pec and lower pec.

IMO, your void is genetic. There is no way to get muscle to grow where it doesn’t exist at all. As you know all skeletal muscles have an origin and an insertion. It is only possible to grow muscle between the origin and the insertion. The origin of the pec is your chest bone, and the insertion is your upper arm.

Very few people have anything close to perfect symmetry. You can only work to improve what you have. You have a very good upper body. IMO, just get thicker everywhere.

Do you have any bodybuilder’s name that I can check out to see what a true muscular man looks like with a similar void?

Indeed, I’ll only be growing what exists, I have to deal with that, it’s OK, no choice anyway haha.

But thanks a lot for your comments. I’m improving overtime, slowly but then steadily, it’s the most important.

Franco Columbo comes to mind. You cannot not see the separation in all of his front chest poses, but there a quite a few that do show it

You can see the void in this pic better:

Genetics… can’t skirt them… but Synthol might help
