so I’m pretty gdamned pumped about my new lifting partner. I’m pretty much just gonna be tagging along with him and doing what he does (i’ll give my opinion on stuff or movements I really don’t like I’ll do something else) and hopefully will be able to learn from him. Like I said before, he’s about 5’9", 245-250, not lean by any stretch but not fat either. Here’s how chest went down today (intensity was good. obviously my pressing strength/stamina is absolute shit right now, but I’m hoping as I SLOWLY start upping calories and have someone making sure Im making progress, the numbers will creep back up).

I barely slept at all last night, dunno why, mind was just busy, fml, so energy (and food, for that matter) was fairly low getting started, but actually turned into quite a good workout. I am seriously loving training with this guy. I have never had someone I’m more compatible with in the gym. We BS just the right amount, we snap into the “zone” right when needed, give just the right amount of encouragement. Good stuff. AND it’s nice to be in autopilot and mostly follow his programming. Legs today was killer.
Smith squats - I dont think Ive ever done these before. was nice since my lower back is still hurting from weeks ago… lol. kept back straight and blasted the quads, which got a pump after the first warmup set lol.

Partner had an engagement that forced him to train early, but I asked him to shoot me an outline of what he had planned, so I worked through it on my own tonight. Went amazin.

This last exercise was something he suggested to me: go to the assisted dip machine, put the foot-thingy down, and do like one-armed pressdowns. was AWESOME. took a couple sets to get body position right, but I loved loved loved it.
I think I did 4 sets of 12, 10, 10, and 10 reps, working up to the stack. Awesome.
1 set of kickbacks with a 20, 12 reps per arm, as a finisher.
3 sets of rope pulldown ab crunchiez and I was doneski. Woot.
