EP, ya, except you use 100lbs more on every lift.

greg i hate you.

You sexy man. Lookin nice and thick.

That’s what _____ said. (since we’re open minded around these parts)

Nice and climbable…OH HAI THIS ISN"T PM?

27/(NA)/West Coast, baby

What’s your athletic background? Did you play sports when you were younger?

I’m going to try the Mountain Dog shoulder workouts…my shoulders grow the fastest and respond the best to just about any exercise, which means I’m also shoulder dominant in pressing. Just my fucking luck.

Yes, I try to retract my scaps but I don’t always feel it in the chest; it’s not consistent for me.

Great work rate and strength Bug. Been MIA for a few weeks (me that is) is your latest avi showing up leaner than usual? Were you working on that? Solid throughout.

Xander, yessir Im 4 weeks into a diet.

I played soccer till I was 15, and tennis till I was 17. So no sports that really helped out with strength or size, ha.

Bout to go do some mountain dog shoulders myself! Woooooo Im pumped.

This made me laugh, I pictured you getting up, shrugging like “Eh, what the hell” and continue with the set haha. Good stuff man

hey ponce what do you do for chest? I’m pretty triceps dominant in my pressing but found that switching to all DB’s really helped my chest grow. DB incline, DB flat, weighted dips while leaning forward and then a fly movement really helped my chest out IMO.

Something you might want to consider… get a big stretch in the bottom of the rep and dont totally lock out. That helped my chest growth.

/mini-hijack

Good stuff in here Bug. You’re two inches taller than me and only weigh slightly more than me but you look way thicker. Maybe I’m just “big boned” like cartman or something. Yeah that must be it

greg, I don’t think I’m as thick as you think. My arms and legs lack the thickness, relatively speaking, to my torso. Your legs and arms look good on your body. Luv.

Great shoulder day today. Not much else to say about that except I wish my standing military was amazin like EP’s.

Standing military
bar
95 x 12
135 x 10
155 x 8
185 x 5, 5 (last rep of the last set was hard).

DB partial laterals
30’s x 20 (full ROM)
40’s x 15 (full ROM)
60’s x 30, 30

Partner-resisted machine laterals
50 x 20, 20 (much more partner resistance… shit’s brutal)

Delt destroyer of doom
50’s x 60, 25’s x 30, 15’s x 10 SQUEEEEEZEEE.

20 min PWO cardio.

Work time. I feel great. Seeing slight leanness changes. And I still have 2 more months of dieting. Giggity.

What exercise are you using for the delt destroyer of doom? Don’t tell me those are DB presses, because that is a crazy amount of pressing lol

I’m also interested in finding out what those delt destroyers of doom are. If they are DB presses, more evidence of your awesomeness.

LOL. Have you guys not read the Meadows shoulder article? He describes it much better than I can

I think a while ago I tried those and liked the feel in the chest, but I think I was also developing carpal tunnel due to typing so fucking much, so I think the DBs bothered my wrists more and I ditched them for that reason. I will have to try them again next week. I remember doing DB press on decline bench with a rotation (Suki press?) and I liked it a lot, but wrists hurt with that, too.

I’ve been using pushup bars and foam rolling and stretching the pecs, to see if I can improve the mind-muscle.

I’ll go back to DBs for a bit.

Oh, and Alpha’s log where he suggested always doing a pulling exercise before a horizontal push exercise. I think he said he got it from Cressey. Anyone else agree with that logic?

I do chest and back in same session.

Crazy high reps on delts. I like it, I think a big thing with delts is high rep laterals. Killin it buddy!

MURDERED arms with my old training partner / best friend who is in town visiting for the weekend. Man I love arm training even though mine suck. Must be awesome when you have good arms and they get pumped as fuck.

Meadows hammers
25’s x 15
35’s x 10
45’s x 8
55’s x 10, 10

Rope pressdowns
4 ascending sets, awesome pump.

Machine preachers
2arms: 70 x 12
90 x 12
1arm: 50 x 10 (per arm)

CGBP
135 x 15
185 x 10
225 x 8
275 x 4
315 x 4 DROP 225 x 6 DROP 135 x a bunch. fun set!

Barbell curls w/ 3sec neg (these are fucking brutal jfc)
95 x 6 warmup
135 x 8, 8 (mannnn, lol. have to get in animal mode for that second set.)

Incline skulls (3 sec neg, pause, explode)
80 x 15
85 x 15, 12

Incline conc curls (love these as a finisher, <3 JM)
25’s x 10, 10

Incline L-extensions
25’s x 15-20 per arm. that was all I had.

Poppin bottles tonight. It’s been a good weekend. 2 weeks till spring break.

You need to think and talk positive Bug. Your arms don’t suck. If you have to, think of them as a work in progress. Your training looks solid. Lots of direct arm work which will pay off since you’re trying to add size. In my experience, training hard = results. As far as pumps are concerned, I have a problem with ridiculous forearm pumps. It actually hurts, but there is no way to avoid them.

P.S. Imagining your “animal mode” bb curls has vastly improved my night. Thanks, hope you have a good one;)
