I’ve ordered most everything to here in Ontario… and I haven’t had any problems yet. I’m not in the Toronto area though.
However, I’ve heard people out west griping that they can barely get protein powder through the border!
Anyway, off the top of my head, I have ordered and received Spike, Alpha Male, Carbolin 19, Methoxy-7, ZMA, HOT-ROX, Surge, Power Drive and of course both the Metabolic Drive powders and bars.
I try to bunch up my orders so that they are big enough that shipping is less percentage-wise, then I don’t mind it so much.
Thanks for the head’s up, Vroom. I think I’ll be placing my initial order soon – just a small one for a couple bottles of ZMA and Flameout each. With a new baby in the house, I’m watching the pocketbook very closely until the next contract payments come in.
Hoping to hit the store with a more significant purchase later on this season.
What about duty fees on a big order like this? How much did you pay in addition to the shipping cost? Thats the very worst part I think.

I just found this article from Tim. I can attest to the quality of Biotest products. I have worked for 3 major supplement companies in the past and worked for Biotest. Well, I am no longer in the supplement industry, I only use Biotest’s products.
I know that Tim wanted nothing but the best as far as ingredients go. And, he was always looking for the next best thing or improvements on existing ingredients/formulations.
I also had a behind the scenes look (a very shocking look) at many other companies. Some of the executives at other companies used to chuckle and snicker that they were selling such hype and inferior products to the consumer. I have access to many supplements at discounted prices due to the people I still know in the industry. But, I choose to buy Biotest, online like everyone else.
If this post happens to get to Tim…my hats off to you. Thank you for being such a good employer (and company) and best wishes in the future.

Biotest orders since 1/10/06: $950.90
That’ll put me at about $4000 this year, over 10% of my take-home pay. Scary thought.[/quote]
Holy crap. You could buy ALOT of chicken breasts and veggies with that. Let’s not get crazy, I think a good protein supp, a fish oil supp, and creatine are staples, maybe Spike as well. But I gotta ask what you’re ordering to spend 4k a year on supplements?

Let’s see what a month’s staples could be:
1 Flameout - $24.99
1 Alpha Male - $49.00
1 ZMA - $9.00
2 Surge - $42.00 (assuming 20 workouts/month)
1 Power Drive - $17.00
2 Low-Carb MD - $51.98
Total=$193.97
I can spend $200/month without trying hard, and that’s keeping my protein powder intake low. I’d prefer to supplement my diet with Metabolic Drive even more. If I were as serious as some, I’d invest regularly in Carbolin 19, Methoxy-7, and bars. I don’t do Spike or HOT-ROX, but I’ll start getting Creatine from Biotest.
I could easily spend $200 every 4 weeks=$2600/year. To be honest, I’m sure the annual total is higher.

To each his/her own I guess, but it’s mind boggling how many people are “supplement dependent”. Can you honestly say, in hindsight, that the physical ROI equals the outlay of cash. So much of it is psychological, to the point of being a neurosis.
Heck, I understand the monthly supply of protein powder and the occasional 12 week cycle of something to enhance fat-loss/muscle gain (whatever your goals may be). BUT, dropping hudreds of dollars a month is a little excessive. I’d like to see before and after picks for those who are dropping this much cash on supps over a 12 mth period. HAAAAAAAA
Lets see; list of discretionary income priorities:
Give Biotest 10% of my annual income, so I can look better naked (MAYBE)
Pay my gym dues
401K…Wait, I gave that to Biotest
Take a vacation…Wait, I gave that to Biotest.
Take my girl out for a nice dinner…Wait, I need supplements.

You?d have more of a point if everything Biotest sold was strictly for muscle gain or fat loss…
But being that things like FlameOut, ZMA, Alpha Male, Protein. Let people live healthy lives.
There is no question that eating good protein is good for you.
There is no question the proper levels of Omega3?s are beneficial (And it needs to get in stock now, dammit)
ZMA and Alpha Male have both been shown to increase hormone levels, for many T-Men, paying 60$ a month is worth being supraphysiological in that department. Not to mention the benefits of having higher levels of Testosterone, IGF-1, etc. (And not just the body comp benefits.)

Here I just put this together in xcel to make sure it’s all right…
For Flameout 16 a year @ 24.99
ZMA 12 a year @ 9.00
Surge 21 a year at @ 26.00
Power Drive 3 a year at @ 17.00
Metabolic Drive 12 a year @ 25.99
It totals out to about 1416.72… but the Surge was 546 dollars of it.
These were somewhat conservative numbers I put in, except for Surge, which I guess should be excluded it you want a somewhat minimalist. But either way, you can see how easy it is to use over 1,000 in the store here.

Yeah, that looks pretty close to my expenditure. I don’t go without fish-oil (now using flameout), protein powder, ZMA, and a good multi-vit. I was being somewhat facetious, and was really directing my comments at the extremists. I think there are some who sacrifice other life niceties, in order to pad their supplement inventory. It took me a while to realize that NOTHING replaces a good diet. Even the good men/women at T-mag will attest to that.

Hm… I’ve been meaning to do a calculation on grams of protein per $ comparison of chicken, beef, tuna and protein powder. Multiply this by the Bialogical Value (BV) and you could prioratize your protein sources…
