Yay. Nice video. Can I make a set up suggestion? Set up like a back squat; walk under the bar and set it on your back. Walk it out and put your grip out to the width you want it and then pop it off your back instead of pushing from the front. I used to set up how you are adjusting the width when the bar was over my head. I saw a video of someone doing it off their back and it’s much easier to set up.
I’m sorry about your Nigel troubles. It must be very worrisome.
Once you start push pressing that bar up, the second it clears your head stick your neck/head forward between your arms. This is a trick I learned from the strongmen. Once you get your head through, that bar will go up. It’s magic.

I did however try both oh suggestions. O’s was difficult for me, I don’t feel like I have the coordination to push it form behind my back–but i will try again. PMPM’s was amazing I only pushed up 135 but it wasn’t feeling too light but that neck thing is magic

Here’s some extended brain sneeze stuff.
I am a rep whore. I fully embrace it now. the high of high reps is where I am really happy. And I’m fine with that now. I like being able to max out, but my true heart is in that freaky nasty extra rep. I still claim PL as my thing though. Brute’s version.
SO. I’m was chasing a stronger front squat but i miss the reps too much- same with dl’s.
I gave a good solid effort in trying the singles to see how I can max on deads but it was disappointing and lame. NO new max and lost some of my precious reps :{
regular squats I’ll keep doing singles of heavy–when i do them. I have a lot to address on those and honestly I’m not really driven to fix it. I can pull off a lot with bad form and that extra pound on the bar is too mouth watering to chase and it fucks up my back.
Until i have more disciple to get it right I’m laying off those. When i have low confidence and inner strife in areas of my life I tend to jet thru other areas to make myself feel better even though its a cheap thrill. its not good and its too tempting for me to fuck with.
But I’ll do a mix for bench of rep and singles since its ever frustrating but i get what i put into it which is minimal. But that’s it. I’m hoping to invite cardio crackhead into my life again too since I need to drop some pounds.
I gotta new image I’m going for, and in order do it i need to slim my face–ie i want short short hair I want it BADDDDD. And not allowed until face is a tinge more stealth. Also turning 30 in november. there’s that too:)
OH MY GOD. Nigel is currently being de-programed by the New Dominate Mom Brute. Its been a ruff day, but he can feel the changes. I coddled him toomuch, and he needs a pack leader dog whisperer style.

yeah, he probably needs a pack leader to feel secure. good on you for getting some help with that. glad to hear you have decided on some goals for yourself, too. i still think of myself as an Oly Lifter really, but doing it my style (with prioritizing strength on the powerlifts at the moment lolz).
that is the wonderful thing about this being a hobby rather than a job… we can do whatever we like! i love this bunch of people, too, for being honest when they think that what we like isn’t so good for us.
