I have been down a rabbit hole chasing dopamine and stumbled upon Bromelain. Supposedly, it acts indirectly on dopamine by reducing neuro-inflammation. I have been using it for a few days and it seems to have given me a bump in attitude.
Has this been studied directly or indirectly. All I see is that bromelain reduces some inflammation markers and I guess you can run with that but, that is a stretch. Even the neuroinflammation claim is a reach. Most were in vitro.
There have been a few studies that I can find but none are conclusive. But, this is how creatine was in the 1980’s - word of mouth that turned out to be accurate. No conclusive studies so I was checking in with the hive mind.
I have been chasing ADHD, BPD, and the dopamine connections. I am finding that all of the things that I have stumbled on by myself - high protein, fish oil, strength training, etc . . . are recommended for low dopamine.
I have been eating canned pineapple out of the fridge for the last several months.
