Bromelain Supplement

I have been down a rabbit hole chasing dopamine and stumbled upon Bromelain. Supposedly, it acts indirectly on dopamine by reducing neuro-inflammation. I have been using it for a few days and it seems to have given me a bump in attitude.

Anyone ever try this?

Placebo.

Has this been studied directly or indirectly. All I see is that bromelain reduces some inflammation markers and I guess you can run with that but, that is a stretch. Even the neuroinflammation claim is a reach. Most were in vitro.

There have been a few studies that I can find but none are conclusive. But, this is how creatine was in the 1980’s - word of mouth that turned out to be accurate. No conclusive studies so I was checking in with the hive mind.

I used to break out frozen pineapple chunks in the shop at around 2:30-3:00 pm during the mid to late afternoon lull to perk us up.

It reduced accidents, expensive mistakes, and did in fact perk us up. Can’t vouch for what, if any mechanism this was achieved by though.

Scientifically- b6 is good for dopamine.

I have been chasing ADHD, BPD, and the dopamine connections. I am finding that all of the things that I have stumbled on by myself - high protein, fish oil, strength training, etc . . . are recommended for low dopamine.

I have been eating canned pineapple out of the fridge for the last several months.

Weird.

You’re almost there!

Fresh, like the cubed up stuff is better.

And b6. Its not a miracle treatment, but its pretty good. :+1:.

Happy & healthy. Wealthy and wise will have to wait.

Big disclaimer- be really careful if you take blood thinners. I spontaneously bleed like a motherfucker out of my gums from pineapple & plavix.
