Given that the bottle you just emptied contained TEQUILA, which is fairly alchoholic (45% ish) I think you’ll be just fine for sterility. . .

Tequilla is pretty sterile, I would simply buy some rubbing alcohol when down there, rinse out the bottle and refill it with your oil - and if the cap can contain the tequila, it will do the same for the oil - no problem.
I just got back from Rivera Maya MX, flew outta Cancun…and as it was stated before…they went through my crap big time. My wife’s stuff as well. Carry on is checked out just as well.
I like the idea of the shampoo bottle. Only downside is if they happen to shake it. Forget trying to hide your shit in a James Bond compartment. They’ll find it…I had some little bottles stowed away from my free bar…they found it…and kept it.

I have walked through metal detectors many times with as many as four bottles and had no problems with it being set off. If you are looking to just buy orals the containers are all plastic, so no worries. Just put them in a zip-lock and stuff them down your pants. Sometimes there is a little metal on the tops of the stoppers with injectables but it’s not enough to set the machine off.
Put them in a condom tie it up and swallow the condom…no way they’ll catch that.
Just kidding, I haven’t flown internationally since 9/11, but I know Mexico is one of the closer watched countries. Good Luck!
