Brat & The Dead Tea Party

What’s weak is the bullshit you posted.

If buying advertising now suddenly = dark money in politics then you could replace any name in that “article” to any politician from any party, and it would still be true.

Lmao that radio ads to conservative hosts is suddenly some magical evil Koch conspiracy. Like there isn’t a ton of blue money pumped into similar activities. Utter partisan bullshit.

I think Max’s point is that: I think we can tone down the alarmism and “sky is falling” shit just a tad here and if people want to see results in this area, they will have to seek them through social change and well being and NOT government mandate.

No need to be an enviro-nazi that spews hatred towards anyone who thinks like your posts describes. (Not saying you specifically are doing that, you aren’t.) And also no need for anyone to instantly deny something because a Democrat said it.

If we as a society want to seriously address environmental issues, we need to all stop being alarmist, insulting assholes, like the dude Max was responding to.
Is calling people “enviro-nazis” your idea of not being an insulting asshole?

For a website that’s heavily based on science (science of nutrition, science of training, etc) there’s a surprising amount of science-haters here (probably just in PWI though). I wonder what your post-workout recovery protocols are… rubbing bear fat on your chest, and smudging the gym with incense?

As a Democrat, I would like to thank the Tea Party for eliminating the 2nd most powerful Republican in Congress, so that they can replace him with a complete rookie who is not ready for prime time. Brat will have zero impact on the next Congress, and I don’t expect to hear his name ever again, after he gets voted in this Fall.

If you guys can do the same with Boehner and McConnell next, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Seeing as I didn’t call anyone that, and instead there was no need to be that, I would say you might just be a bit sensitive.

Other than wanting to make a America a Religious State , I would like this guy

Magick,

We are not looking into them, we are making policy. That is my point. We are making laws and standards based on something not yet proven or even deemed explainable.
I agree. It’s stupid. That is what I meant by politicization of climate change. People take “incomplete” understanding of things, politicize it, and then start trying to make policy that help their belief. That really is the aspect I dislike. It is one thing to say “Hey, we might be doing something to the environment here and we really should study it to see if we’re not gonna have something bad happen in the future” and completely another thing to say “Hey, we ARE doing something bad to the environment and we need to fix it right away by shaming people into believing our cause”.

One is science and rational decision making. The other is politics.

The climate changes naturally, we have had 5 major ice ages long before we showed up with our Escalades and Hummers. The Earth has seen more carbon than todayI would rather we call this Climate Study, and monitor these phenomena as they happen. But to sit here and make such a ridiculous claim like Gore did, well you should be deported for saying something so fucking stupid.

This is where I have a bit of a problem with. Yes. The climate changes naturally. There is evidence to believe we had a mini-ice age just 500 years ago and we are reasonably certain that the world has been drying centuries before the first IR.

But I don’t get how any of those are meant to be evidence to suggest that humanity isn’t influencing the climate.

Like I said, humanity MAY be influencing the climate. There is no solid proof either way. But I don’t like how some Democrats say “WE’RE FUCKING up THE PLANET!@$!@%@!!@” and some Republicans say “FUCK YOU IDIOTS. WE CAN’T DO SHIT TO THE PLANET!@#$@!$!”

I find both to be wrong, simply because we don’t even know enough about the planet and the weather system to make a claim one way or another.

I said enviro-nazi, not Beans, so if you have a beef with it, bring your beef to me.

Yes, I fucking hate science, can’t stand it actually. But since you ran your mouth off without knowing how my opinion was based, I will bring you up to speed. Have a seat youngblood, and buckle in.

You see, because of “science”, our state is facing a truly fucked up situation with our drought. Oh I know what you’re thinking…Climate Change Denier ! Wrong. Because of ENVIRO-NAZIS, we valued a 3 inch non-indigenous fish over our fellow man.

Environmentalists used this fish as a way to cut off pumping water south, to our Central Valley, which is our agricultural bread basket. Since this fish was placed on the endangered species list, it’s livelihood is protected, but we cannot water our crops in the meantime.

Then, because of some of our insane environmental red tape, we will most lose the Tesla Gigafactory here in California. Rather than try to fast track the environmental approvals and grant the permits needed (that is not code for remove environmental laws and regulations altogether), the company will move elsewhere. 6500 jobs, going somewhere else, but call me a fucking denier.

So in summary, you ran your mouth thinking my term of environ-nazi meant that I wanted poisons put in our water, when it actually meant holding hostage the solutions we need to deal with the problems we face.

I agree…but I don’t think that it will be anywhere near a surprise.

The GOP will rule the Mid-Terms.

The only question is will they take the Senate.

If they do, I’ll actually sit home in 2016, and quietly hope Hilary wins.

The last thing I want is single party rule in DC.
