I’ve tried modafinil, deprenyl, hydergine, and ritalin and had some great results from all but I seem to burn out quite easily on them (not the hydergine - general effects of that are less pronounced) and similarly with Spike.
I tend to need stimulation but cannot tolerate stimulation for long which makes sense I suppose, physiologically I’m creating a deficit.
So I’m trying various commercial products such as vinpocetine, DMAE, huperzine, rhodiola in an effort to replicate the nice effects without the eventual downsides I experience. Incidentally Spike is just like modafinil imo and I love it, just can’t tolerate it for long, more’s the pity.
I found these two products which combine the aforementioned ingredients, titanIQ and bodyquicken/brainquicken; has anyone tried them?
I’ve taken titanIQ and enjoyed it and I think brainquicken is similar. Any feedback or alternatives would be appreciated.
I’ve tried ritalin, hydergine, selegiline and modafinil and found all bar the hydergine helpful although as someone who needs stimulation I cannot tolerate either of these for long.
Similarly I’ve tried Spike (which imo is like modafinil) and although I love the effects I cannot tolerate for more than a couple of days.
Anyone have any hints on how to increase my tolerance to these drugs and prevent the inevitable crash? I know I’m creating a deficit but has anyone found the holy grail?!!
I’m also trying some more commerically available products containing vinpocetine, DMAE, rhodiola, huperzine and these are titanIQ and brainquicken. Actually only tried titanIQ (it’s UK based as opposed to brainquicken) but they’re both similarly composed and I have to say I’m pleased with the results, not crashed yet after a week, but I do crave the real hit that modafinil can give, so any advice would be greatfully received.
Aren’t all the 'racetams supposed to be legal for import to the U.S.? I emailed bulk nutrition, and they said they’d been having trouble getting them past customs. Everywhere online seems to be out of stock.
B rock, I’ve been using piracetam for about a month now, in doses up to 2g with and without food, and had no issues.
Anyone else experiment or have comments about methyl donors like TMG, DMG, SAMe or DMAE (part of its benefits are from methyl donation). I believe TMG and Ashwagandha have a synergistic effect when taken together…I skipped my TMG the other day and the Ashwagandha was not nearly as effective that day, I felt agitated all day.
The next day I took my 250mgs Trimethylglycine and my 300mgs Ashwagandha together again and was back to “normal”. I believe the TMG is why I get good results from such a low dose of Ashwagandha.
ScienceDaily (Mar. 23, 2009) ? Preliminary research in healthy men suggests that the narcolepsy drug modafinil, increasingly being used to enhance cognitive abilities, affects the activity of dopamine in the brain in a way that may create the potential for abuse and dependence, according to a study in the March 18 issue of JAMA.
So, lot’s. Thanks for that reply. What other options are there for choline boosting apart from DMAE - that people believe work. Eg is say 200mg actual DMAE + 400mg phosphatidyl choline an okay substitute? Has anyone had any experience with Alpha-GPC as compared to others? Or citicoline?
Thanks for that roweski. What are your thoughts on doing a mix of phosphatidyl choline and DMAE instead of just DMAE? Or is 600mg DMAE Bitartrate sufficient in your opinion? Also, do you split that into two doses (or more) to have with each serve of your racetam(s) of choice? Or just in one hit.
