Brain Function Boosters

Very good to hear about your experience with centrophenoxine, JB.

I need to find a subject or concept to study the hell out of over a week and amaze my lecturers!

I’m not sure the sulbutiamine will be all that. Similar to moda I think. We’ll see.

BTW, what was your dose and duration for the centrophen? Also, did you run it with anything else? How did you get on with the aniracetam?

Bushy
Hey Bush,

This was a few years ago, I purchased my nootropics from IAS and QHI(.co.uk). I remember going by the minimum recommended dose of centrophen, which was listed on their website at 250mg daily. I stacked it with Piracetam and Aniracetam, also at minimum required dosages. I remember the Aniracetam felt more effective than the Pira. I ran this stack for about 2 months until I ran out of pills, but the positive cognitive effects seemed to last a fair bit longer than the 2 months after I stopped.

Keep us posted on the sulbutiamine. Have you tried Adrafinil yet? I know it’s the ‘poor man’s’ version of Moda, not as strong or clean, but I’m liking it so far.

hey bushy,

why the change from oxiracemtam to aniracetam - is ani superior in your view?

Hey JB. A friend sent me some pills that were labelled as 200mg modafinil however since we both seemed to notice greater effects on days 2 and 3 and very little on day 1, I suspect they are adrafinil.

I think that there will be synergistic effects to be had from vinpo (increasing blood supply to the brain to deliver the other nootropics more effectively), aniracetam (increasing activity in the association fibres between areas of the brain) and the centro (removing the plaque buildups).

I’m wondering what else might be a worthy addition for synergy purposes though.

Maybe acetyl crnitine as it is used as a building block. Fish oil for the same reason.

I plan on taking 500-1000mg of the centro though as I want as much eradication of lipofuscin as possible.

True, I was only in my early 20s when I used the centro, so didn’t require a higher dose because there wouldn’t have been as much build up of lipofuscin. Now that I’m in my early 30s I might need 500mg ed.

From what I recall of the literature, you have to watch out for the higher doses as they can cause tension headache in some individuals. I don’t think you’d have too much of a problem though Bushy, as you are a chemical Samurai! LOL

You know what’s funny, is that I found simple decline bench presses to be very effective at clearing my head and increasing mental sharpness! The extreme blood rush to the head when doing declines, of course would have a similar effect to vinpo at increasing circulation to the brain.

Of course! It’s a little known fact that Newton was actually hanging upside down from the tree when the apple struck him in the face.

I have been using Aniracetam and Vinpocetine. I really like them so far. A great deal of mental clarity and added recall, though watch out for the Aniracetam. I find that if I take too much I get overstimulated. Also, I got it as a bulk powder and it does NOT mix with water (as a lipophilic compound I should have seen that one coming). I just spoon it into my mouth and wash it down.

BTW, ToneBone, did you end up trying Adrafinil? It’s much cheaper than Moda and I’ve found it works quite well too for a boost, without feeling too wired.
No, not yet, I have been trying to stretch a dollar to it's maximum threshold, and want to get some soon though...I was reading about it too, and it seems like you said, for the guy who can't get his hands on Moda, it's the next best thing...just possibility of sides, where with Moda there are none basicly.

Glad my humble little thread has grown and had such killer contributors all along the way...

Never knew the nootropic side of you existed big Johnny!! Kudos!

                 Voila Dr. Bushidoman!

OK so my desmopressin in nasal spray bottle arrived today.

Unfortunately, when I read the leaflet in the box, it became clear that desmopressin has been modified from the original vasopressin to make it MORE effective at suppressing ADH.

Basically this means it has been altered to promote water retention.

Not what I want in a cognitive enhancer, so I won’t be using it.

Bollocks, back to the drawing board.

Bushy
Since its effects are supposed to be immediate and safe under proper conditions, would you mind taking a snort for the team and reporting back to us?

On another note, I ordered some hydergine, centrophenoxin and sulbutiamine yesterday and I’ll let you guys know if I find anything.

Keep the reports coming in.

do you guys order from offshore pharmacies? What if they catch it at customs, would you be arrested?

Well, can’t let a good cognitive enhancer go to waste. If it’s just going to sit in your medicine cupboard unused and taking up precious space, JB will have to do you a favour and graciously accept your offer to get rid of it. If you don’t want the nasal spray bottle, you could swing it my way.

I dunno what I could use it for since I’ve already finished uni, but what the hey, JB doesn’t mind a bit of water retention and is always up for an intellectual boost.

Hmmm…seeing it’s effect on your normally flawless spelling, I don’t think it looks like much of a cognitive enhancer.

j/k, lol

Prices seem decent. Any thoughts about the “Get smart” formula?
