What is the difference between Brain Candy and Power Drive? Do they have the same effects?
I am on day 3 of Brain Candy and am thoroughly enjoying the energy and mood effects.

bump.

What is the difference between Brain Candy and Power Drive? Do they have the same effects?

I am on day 5 of Brain Candy and am thoroughly enjoying the following effects:

  1. High level of alertness and energy
  2. Mood enhancer
  3. Feeling of calmness and being in the zone (some people have referred to this as the zen like cloud feeling)

I am trying to find out what Power Drive does? How is Power Drive different from Brain Candy?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Just tried my first Brain Candy (free sample with order, thank you Biotest).

Tastes great.

I’m diggin’ it.

One of the things that Biotest does great is make energy supps. I was sold immediately on Hot-Rox then Spike Shooters (Biotest picked up about a dozen customers directly from me letting people have a can and they started ordering directly) and now this legal cocaine they call “Brain Candy”.

I thought this stuff was going to be sold otc like 5 hour energy. Anyone know if that is still going to happen?

I heard CS mention that, but only in select stores… not sure if that’s still a go. Would be convenient though since I’m not really a big fan of taking Brain Candy every morning anymore (at least the one with a 300mg bolus of caffeine).

Received my free sample, thank you Biotest, tastes pretty darn good considering all the supps in it. I’ve ingested all of them individually at one time or another and remarkably could not detect the same tartness. If I were to take 300mg of caffeine straight up via pill or powder my energy would be up but also my anxiety level, not fun. With Brain Candy no jitters, anxiety, etc. just a smooth energy ride to train, build, move furniture or listen intently and stay awake during a brilliant but horrible lecture. I’ve never tried any liquid energy shot products thinking that a good multi-vit and a caffeine pill is 50x cheaper but once again Biotest surprises me. Brain Candy is worth the price of admission.

has anyone noticed Brain Candy causing issues with sleep?

I would say if you aren’t use to the amount of caffeine that is in Brain Candy Original, i would imagine that the first few days you could possibly experience that, my first day using it i think i had a slight problem sleeping right away but i also hadn’t had a drop of caffeine in close to 4 years so i was pretty sensitive to it.

My suggestion is to give it at least a week and if the problem persists then the caffeine free version might be something to look into.

I’ve covered the sleep thing quite in depth and all other issues (pos & neg) in my two month long reviews of this product (both versions):

Caffeinated: The Brain Candy Experiment – Part 2/3 « adriancrowe

Caffeine Free: The Caffeine-Free Brain Candy Experiment « adriancrowe

Stuff is harsh. I have a pretty strong stomach and lets just say it lets me know it isn’t happy with the way the product sits. Really it’s not that bad, but I can see how this will give gringo’s some problems.

The flavor is horrible on both original and caffeine free version. Tastes like I’m drinking an old otter pop with a supplement/ chemical aftertaste.

The good thing I feel like a million bucks after taking it.

Workouts and focus are on point. I feel a ‘good’ jittery on it. Not so much that I feel uncomfortable, I just chalk it up as ‘focus’.

Been alternating between caffeinated and non caffeinated and I don’t seem to be experiencing the fatigue folks are talking about, but I’m only on my second week doing this. Also I don’t take it on my days off (weds, sat and sun). Maybe the break from the ingredients and caffeine helps?

I’ve had a much more productive Summer with Brain Candy than without it.

Working two jobs (part-time jobs), girlfriend, and school keep a person busy; that is the confidence that Brain Candy creates. I would normally never take on that load.

I didn’t think of myself as capable of making a stupid decision. Secondly it all seemed possible because I knew Brain Candy was on my side. I could go on…

I take this stuff maybe once every two weeks: ts powerful, my stomach cramps, and I shake. However, this is a positive relationship, understanding, the ingredients are natural - the negative effects are my intolerance for caffeine on an empty stomach. Its not my crutch, but it is my go to when things need done;it is a guarantee you will at least exercise just to earn the price of admission.

This posts purpose is simply to say after buying a few batches, and downing my share of the product its the best nootropic I’ve tried. A morally neutral Biotest chemist or maybe just a few cheap foreign workers have created the closest substitute to amphetamine a sane man would take, and my weak-will won’t take day in and day out. With my vote of confidence I am buying a month supply of caffeine-free. The goal is to double the money I put in through the added productivity I hope to see in my days. I look forward to sharing the results with you if they help in your buying decision.

sorry for the bump but… may be the CDP-choline, although the doses used in the study are probably substantially higher than what is in Brain Candy.
