This is exactly what I notice with Spike. I have ordered a case of BC to compare.

I’ll be interested to see how you compare the two. Much like State posted, i notice that i don’t have to search for words with Brain Candy, it does seem to make speaking very fluid, definitely would have loved to have the stuff for speech classes back in the day.

I had spike years ago. I can’t remember where I got it, but I remember it was awesome. I tried ordering some, but it got seized at the border. I would like to see how they compare too.

I have gone through my first case of Brain Candy as of today. I think it’s a great product and I truly notice a difference in alertness. It is, however, impossible for me to say I’m in a better mood on it…
I agree with AllTraps on the notion that it seems over-caffeinated…

Day 1 was horrible. Too much caffeine and then a gas-pain-bomb in the afternoon that was just this side of 911. So I experimented a little, half dose or skip a dose, with food etc., and although the full dose caffeine is still too much, the stomach problems are only a minor nuisance.
As for the caffeine, have you ever taken a 5 hour energy. My wife had some left over from her previous boring job so I tried them for 4 or 5 doses. No problem; great for an after lunch alertness that last, well, 5 hours or so. But these ran out so I stopped at the local store and tried the extra-strength. Bad idea! it was caffeine OD with the jitters etc. Brain Candy is like that. As others have said, it wears off after an hour but it sucks.
However, in general I am quicker with speech and more assertive with my personality. Usually that is good as I am a pleaser and team player. Had a situation where someone was in the wrong and I called them out for it. They later apologized but I felt like a dick for being louder and more assertive than needed.
To manage myself, I’ve gone to half dosing and will continue the experiment for another order.
I took my first shot of Brain Candy yesterday morning and i was buzzed like crazy and its probably due to the amount of caffene which was expected but I felt felt the energy and i believe this stuff really works as far as that energy aspect but I dont know if i can say it’s made me calmer.
Working in a Human Resources environment in the military is very stressful but when I wake up, im hoping brain candy can control my stress level. Day 2 starts tomorrow. By the way, I bought 2 cases of Brain Candy and just saw that the caffeine free version came out which I will order 2 more cases for my next paycheck. Again, I do like the product.
When it comes to nootropics, I don’t like that it gets thrown around that one should “feel” something. Typically I find that it goes by unnoticed for the most part, but the effects are still there(if that makes sense that you would be unaware of something that is supposed to make you more cognizant).
I typically only notice that when I do take BC(or other nootropics)brain fog doesn’t seem to be an issue for me and my mind seems a bit sharper, kind of like the pipeline from my thoughts was enlarged and now I get a higher volume than I did before. I wouldn’t call nootrpoics energy supplements by any means. They simply “get your mind right”.
I would recommend that people try reading or doing something creative after they take BC or another nootropic product and see what happens. This is when I find I get the most bang for the buck with these types of supplements as it seems like I can tap into thoughts and ideas I couldn’t before. Nootropics can be very zen in the right setting.
