that’s a great shout - Dave Draper would have the perfect look for he-man.
HHH in my opinion has the physique, and can even act a bit, but he is too damn ugly to be He-man, or any lead role for that matter. He is destined to play the meathead sidekick role, like in Blade 3.
IMO they shouldn’t have gotten away with it in X-men 3 it bothered me the whole time, and he had what 1 line? Stupid…
You would be surprised how many people were fooled by that costume. If I had to guess, judging from the responses in the theater, most people thought that was real.
Oh I know, here is how a conversation went with me and a friend after X-men 3 came out.
him: “Damn the juggernaught was awesome!”
me: “other than they used vinnie jones and he was wearing a horrible muscle suite”
him: “Oh I was wondering how he got that big! Looked real to me!”

at least they acknowledged the fact that he-man needs a really muscular physique…
Yeah, but ‘really muscular’ by Hollywood standards is 180 and cut. Brad had the attitude and swagger to play Durden, that’s what made that part tailor made for him…
If Brad busted 165 in that movie, I’d be really, really surprised.

As far as Gerard Butler playing it, no doubt he is willing to put in the hard work but I don’t think people could get over seeing him as Leonidas.
I don’t know. He already said he avoided the gym for 7 months after 300.
