another thing i thought of about a lot of old time fighters, or even today’s up and comers:
most of these guys haave another job, or did when they got their start in fighting, so they didn’t have time for a lot of training. therefore boxing was their focus. also, a lot of the fighters i know have physcial, manual labor type jobs like construction, factory work, etc. they’re already relatively strong from what they do, so they really dont need to add much more to the mix, especially from a recovery standpoint…
